Default Nextteenamateur's Anabolic X-Factor Bulk of Doom Log

I would like to start off by giving a heartfelt thank-you to Aeternitatis and the entire Molecular Nutrition crew.

I am running the X-Factor alone (along with other staple supplements) and will be starting my log on January the 18th.

I would like to lay out my training and diet in order to let you get to know a little about me. I train DC style, and have been doing so for the last 4 months. I have made great progress (+27 pounds since end of summer - 145 to 172) and have kept my bodyfat percentage at just about the exact same as it was when I weighed 145 (13.5 percent). Diet wise, I eat clean and follow a carb cutoff at either 6 or 7 PM, depending on when I go to sleep. I eat as much whole food as possible, but since I have to use a dining hall, I consume my fair share of protein powder. I aim for 300-350g of protein a day, and will try and up this to 400g a day during my X-Factor log.

My goals for this log are:
1) Achieve a bodyweight of 190 pounds
2) Maintain bodyfat percentage or perhaps slightly lower it (I realize that this might not be possible to do while gaining 18 pounds).

Diet wise, I will eat a large quantity of eggs and will get a lot of fat from whole milk and hamburger patties.

I will also be taking the following supplements during my log, which I always take. These will not keep me frow noticing what effects X-Factor has on me.
Scivation Xtend
Universal Storm
All The Whey protein

Thanks! Gotta love Milla Jovovich. I'm getting lose to the start of my log (January 18th) and have been getting my diet in order. I think it's going to be pretty good. I'll be having a lot of eggs for breakfast (only time of the day I can get them) and whole milk all throughout the day to satisfy my fat requirements. I plan on waiting about a week into the X-Factor to really ramp up the calories just to let it get in my system. I'll have my before pictures up today or Monday.

Today was my first day on X-factor.

DOSE
8:45 AM
2:20 PM

EFFECTS
None so far, though I did have a better-than average pump in the gym today.

DIET
This is what I have eaten as of 4:21 PM.
5 whole eggs
4 strips of bacon
(2) 45g whey shakes inbetween classes
(2) 1.5 cup oats with 30g whey

I know it's not a lot, but I am going to slowly be raising my calories all this week. I don't want to rush things and gain more fat than needed.

Throughout the next few hours, I will eat a lot more. I plan on eating at least the following tonight:
(2) Turkey sandwiches on whole wheat
(2) Tall cups of whole milk
(2) Servings vegetables



Since it's the first day, there's not much to report. In the following days the log will get more and more detailed.

I forgot to post my workout from today. I don't mean to be so erratic, but I switched dorm rooms today and it has ben very hectic. Clemson is very bureaucratic when it comes to this stuff and it seems as if there are 100 steps to a very simple process.

Today was an off day. I noticed that my arms (especially bicep insertions) were very sore today. I know this is probably a placebo, but it is there. Surprisingly, my legs are less sore than I thought they would be. I have a feeling tomorrow the pain will set in.

EFFECTS
The extra soreness is still in my arms today, and still NOT in my legs (odd). I have been getting a good pump the last few days, and I think the X-Factor is responsible.
DIET
I have been eating more and more fat each day, raising my calories slowly. On training days I take ina little more fat than on non-training days. I am eating around 7-8 whole eggs for breakfast, and on training days I add in bacon. I am up to 3 glasses a day of whole milk and am taking in around 305g protein. I will slowly up this to 400 (I WANT POUNDAGE BABY!).

TRAINING
Today was upper body.

CHEST: Decl. Bench (165*16RP)
SHOULDERS: DB Military (50's*16RP)
TRICEPS: Weighted Dips* (35*16RP)
BACK WIDTH: Hammer Grip Pulldowns (180*18RP)
BACK THICKNESS: DB Rows (80's*15)

* = I get on the dip bars and put my feet up on an incline bench so that I isolate my triceps. I have found that these work better for me than regular dips, especially since I've already trained chest/shoulders.

Still not getting the increased soreness, but it's only been a few days. I am really looking forward to when this stuff starts to kick in big time. Workouts have been good and I am ready for Monday (squats).

Just a little update here. Since my second dose this afternoon, my chest has been getting really, REALLY sore. More so than usual, so I decided that it would be good to post. I know most people don't get the soreness this early, so I'll see how it goes.

EFFECTS
The soreness from Friday's workout is worse now than it was yesterday by a long shot. I am still slowly increasing my calories every day, and was near 330g protein today. By the end of week 2 I will be at 400g daily.

EFFECTS
I had really great pumps today. Much more than usual. I was pleased with how the workout went with the exception of biceps. My wrist was really sore, so I did what I could to reduce stress on it. The squats were great, and they went up better than I thought they would. I don't know what happened on the 20 repper. I might have gone into that set too soon after the 8 repper.

DIET
Lots more fat today. I upped my bacon intake and have been eating around 9 eggs a day. My protein today will be in the area of 355g. I have been staying with good quality carbs in order to keep the diet in check.

TRAINING

BICEPS: Incl. DB Curl (35's * 15RP)
FOREARMS: Rope (45 pounds) and forearm curls (25 * 20)

EFFECTS
I am really sore from yesterday's workout. I mean REALLY sore. Walking to and from classes is killing me. My arms are also very sore, especially around the bicep insertions. The X-Factor coupled with fascia stretching seems to be causing this. I am interested in seeing how the fascia stretching will go since I have been getting better than usual pumps while on X-Factor.

EFFECTS
Damn solid workout today except for the deadlifts. Weights were flying easier than I could have hoped for. Another day of good pumps. Also, my legs are very sore from the squats on Monday. I think my increased DOMS is starting to kick in.

DIET
I am eating much more fat than usual and I think it is helping my workouts. Protein is still around 350g, so I need to get it up to 400. I am going to start getting up a little earlier on some days in order to fit in another meal.

TRAINING

CHEST: DB Press (65s * 19) PR
SHOULDERS: BB Military Press (115 * 16)
TRICEPS: Incline Bench Skullcrushers (80 * 16) PR
BACK WIDTH: Pulldowns (160 * 19)
BACK THICKNESS: Deadlifts (305 * 8 PR, and 355*2)

I was dead on the deads, so to speak. I am going to put deadlifts on Mondays of week 2s. My hams were killed today and I realized that "Hey, I squatted on Monday. Today is Wednesday, and I'm officially a dumbass!" I can't believe I have a squat workout and a deadlift workout back to back. It was fine when I could only lift baby weights, but now that my numbers are somewhat respectable (to me at least) I need to space them out.

EFFECTS
Triceps are extremely sore today, but chest isn't. Usually it's the other way around. My legs are still sore from Monday (exacerbated a little bit by deadlifts yesterday) and are ready to be pounded on the leg press tomorrow. The diet has been a lot higher in fats and I can feel a little difference. It's hard to describe, but I usually don't eat much fat at all. On a side note, I have been feeling leaner lately even though I've been eating like a horse.

EFFECTS

Great workout all around today. I went up in weight on every exercise and even up in reps on some. I was getting really good pumps and the endurance was definitely there. DOMS from Wednesday's workout is very noticeable, and I was sore during my workout.

DIET

Hitting 400g protein for the first day today, so I'll see how that affects me. Adding in more fat to my diet has really been helping my workouts, so I'm happy on the nutrition front.
TRAINING

Pretty sore today, especially my abs. I did a quick ab workout Thursday, and man are they tight today. My arms are very sore too. On a very, very good note, I weighed myself today. 178.2 pounds!
