Default Re: Madman Gets WTF Pump'd!!!!

5-24-07 Upper Body

Incline db bench press: 75 x5, x5, x5

Pec deck: 100 x10, x8, x6

Hammer isolateral bench press: 147 x5, 187 x3

Wide-grip pulldowns: 150 x5, x5, x7

Close-grip seated cable row: 100 x10, x10, x12

Isolateral row: 150 x5, x5, x5

Reverse pushup (that's what I call it when you lie under the bar on a smith machine and pull yourself up toward the bar): x10, x10, x10

Plate loaded shoulder press w/ independent arm movement: 110 (each side) x5, x5, x5

Upright row on smith: 65 x12, x12, x OUCH... pinched a nerve in my wrist

Db upright row: 25 x10, x10 -- will probably do these with dbs from now on

Jesus flyes (that's what I call it when you do flyes upright so they hit the delts): 17.5 x12, x12, x14... mmm sacrelicious

Thoughts:

I definitely need to deload next week... my ass is beat. I still have some significant DOMS in my pecs from this week's prior upper body workout, and there was a definite decrease in strength. The 75 lb dbs felt VERY heavy.

Strength was a little low, but energy level and intensity were high.

Well, there's not much exciting to report this week since I'm deloading. I'm doing low volume and reducing the weights. I'm upping the cardio to offset the decreased calorie expenditure. So I won't log this week, and I'll resume reporting once I get back under the heavy weight... I should be finished with my little jug of WTF in another couple of weeks.

I'm back, baby...

6-04-07 Upper Body

Incline bb bench press: 135 x10, 145 x10, x10, x6

Incline bench press machine (weight stack): 200 x9

Decline db fly/decline db bench press superset: 30 x10/x10, x10/10, x10/10

Pushups: 2 sets to failure

Barbell row: 145 x5, x5, x5, x5, 150 x6

Wide-grip seated cable row: 110 x10, 120 x10, x11

Straight arm pulldown: 60 x10, x10, x10

Shoulder press machine (weight stack): 180 x9, x7, x5

Arnold presses: 30 x10, x10, x10

Cable upright row w/rope: 106.6 x10, x10, x10

Thoughts:

Feeling great after last week's deload. I didn't use WTF at all last week, so I really noticed the effects today. Great focus and stamina, and CRAZY pumps. I especially noticed the pump in my forearms after doing my barbell rows. I was also displaying some impressive forearm vascularity.

Final Review of WTF Pump'd

I finally polished of my little tub of WTF Pump'd and here's my final word.

Ratings, on a scale of 1-10:

Strength: 8

Pumps: 10

Recovery: 8 (I recover quickly by nature, so it's hard for me to judge)

Mood: 10

Overall assessment:

In a nutshell, this is the best pre-workout formula I've ever used. The most noticeable effect was the positive focus it gave me. My mind was clear and I felt highly motivated to bust my ass when I hit the gym. Even if sleep was not optimal or I was feeling stressed out in my personal life, WTF put me on track to a great workout. The pumps were completely insane at times, occasionally too painful, but most of the time the pumps felt good and were accompanied by a nice increase in vascularity. Stamina and strength were both noticeably increased, allowing me to tear through high volume workouts without running out of gas. This product is all aces in my book.
