Day 17

Upper Body RE

Max Reps of Incline Bench at 195 lbs over 3 sets
28 reps

Cambered Bar Flat Bench Press
10 x 155
8 x 175
8 x 175

Superset Weighted Pullups with Face Pulls
3 x (8 x BW+55lbs)/(10 x 65 lbs)

Superset Hammer Curls with Bodyweight Dips
3 x (10 x 55 lbs)/(15 reps)

Ab Work

Summary
WOw, strength was definitely up today. I crushed the incline bench press and had more left in the tank. All of my other lifts felt great. I am going to stick with this microcycle for one more week and then change. I need to think about what I am going to focus on for upper body, I am thinking shoulders for a change of pace.

A guy at the gym showed me a new way to deadlift which I am excited to try. He has me turning my feet outwards much more, almost to a 45 degree angle. That might be good for me as I can avoid hitting my knees and shorten my ROM. I tried it with some light weight and it definitely felt better

I am going to decrease my calories a bit as I feel like I am putting on a little more fat than I want. I am still clean bulking, but I am dropping protein bars and combining my yogurt and banana as a meal. Once I figure out which ON product I like, I think I am going to drop one banana from my diet and use two shakes during the day instead.

In terms of the Activate. I think the strength gains speak for themself. I am a little concerned as my libido has just fallen off the face of the earth. I am not aroused at all, not good for my gf. uhockey/robboe, any idea if this is an effect of increased test?

Geoff.....I can honestly say you're the first user EVER to report decreased libido when on ActivaTe solo. Lots of people get mild decrease when taking RXT, but I've never seen a case on AT.

Then it is likely ude to other circumstances. I know work is pretty stressful right now so that very well may be it. Just thought that I would ask.

Day 18

Lower Body ME Day

SS Squat to 3 RM
3 x 125
3 x 165
3 x 215
3 x 265* (see below)

3 x 225
3 x 275
2 x 295
1 x 305

Rack Pulls
5 x 315
5 x 365
5 x 365
5 x 375

Reverse Lunge
3 x 6 x 145

Pullthroughs
3 x 8 x 95

SuperSet
Static Holds with Neck Machine

3 x (25 seconds)/8 x 25 (front and back)

Summary

I tried doing SS Bar squats and I do not like them for back squats. They seem to shift the weight forward which puts more emphasis on the quads. I decided mid-workout to switch and doing low box squats. Those were nice I plan on incirporating the SS Bar on my RE day for squats. I am pretty confident that I can hit 315 3 times on the low box the next time out. That is a couple inches deeper than I have squatted before. The rack pulls felt great and I can definitely see how they will help my deadlift. Strength and enurance is good and markedly improved over the past two weeks.

Day 19

Upper Body ME Day (I know, I know, I shouldn't be doing back to back ME days, but with the T-giving holiday coming, that will knock me out of the gym for 4 days this week so I had to get in when I could)

ME Movement Military Press
95 x 3
135 x 3
155 x 3
175 x 3
185 x 2
195 x 2

Dips
3 x 8 x BW+70lbs

Bent Over Rows
3 x 8 x 225+chains

Fat Bar Curls
3 x 10 x 70lbs

Ab Work

Summary: Not my best day i the gym, but I did like changing things up a lot. This week will be kind of a "fooling around" week where I will be playing with some new exercises before starting my next 3 week minicycle. My military press is a new record and I hadn't even trained it for a month or so (directly that is).

Day 22 Lower Body RE Day

Deadlift

3 x 135
3 x 185
3 x 225
3 x 245
3 x 265
3 x 285
3 x 315

Seated Good Mornings
3 x 8 x 145

SS Bar High Box Squat
3 x 10 x 185

Standing Leg Curls
3 x 10 x 85

Superset Thor's Hammer with Shrugs
3 x (8 x 5 lbs)/200 w/no straps

Summary
Feelin good with the deadlifts. The new stance is really helping. I am also working on going strapless as far as I can. Definitely not my heaviest weight, but if I can get another workout in practicing the form, I should be back on track. Trying to do more work without straps so I can increase my grip strength. Tomorrow I will weigh myself to see how I am doing.

Day 23 Lower Body RE Day

Note: I went back to my old gym because I had to get out of town early before traffic and before my new gym opens so I decided to have a little fun.

Stability Ball Presses Max Reps
3 set, 47 reps @65lbs

Hammer Strength Decline Press
3 x 10 x 230

Superset One arms Rows w/Straight Arm Pulldowns

3 x (8 x 120lbs)/(8 x 70lbs)

Pinwheels
3 x 8 x 20lbs

Cardio

Summary
Decided to do some very different exercises to switch things up and I am definitely fdeeling it today. Sore as hell and had lots of lactic acid buildup. I liked my endurance though as this was much improved over where I was a month ago.

Day 24 - Turkey Day -- Off
Day 25 - Black Friday --Off

I will be back in the gym on Saturday. Happy T-giving.

Day 26

Lower Body ME Day
Squat to Low Box
3 x 135
3 x 185
3 x 225
3 x 275
2 x 295
1 x 305
1 x 305

Suspended Chain Split Squat (hard as f*&k)
3 x Chains+10lbs x 6

Rack Pulls
5 x 315
5 x 365
5 x 385
5 x 385

Reverse Hypers
3 x 10 x 15lbs

GPP

Summary

Holy crap, I did about 20 mins of farmer's walk using 90lbs on the rickshaw and I am shot. My arms feel like they are going to fall off, but I really like it. Had a partner and we tried to see how far we could go and alternated walking. I am definitely going to start doing this 2-3 times a week now.

A little disappointed in my squat as I was shooting for 315, but given that I am still getting used to the below parallel box, I wll give myself a break. Next time, I am definitely attempting 315.

Not noticing much from the Activate at this point. I need to weigh myself and see where I am at, but I want to give myself at least one full day of my usual food. I have another couple of days on Activate so we'll see where I end up.

Superset Bent Over Rows/Lying Reverse Curls
3 x (9 x 225lbs+2 chains)/ (10 x 25lbs)

Overall Review

I have been using Activate for about a month. I currently am weighing in at 188 which is a 6 lb difference. When I looked at some before and after pictures, I notice that my muscles were more pronounced. The abs were not, but I am bulking and would have been surprised to se emuch. My strength went up slightly during this cycle, but obnly on the order of about 2% on my lifts. I think Activate might be a good product when cutting much more than bulking to help build lean muscle mass. If there are any specific questions, let me know!

Thanks again uhockey for allowing me to try this product. I am definitely interested to try Rebound XT.

Not posting any pics or stats? What bf% were you before, what bf% now? If you gained 6lbs with minimal bf% I'd say this was pretty damned effective.

well I went from 5-10 182 to 5-10 188 and 12.1% bf to 13.4% bf during the cycle. However, I cut back a bit on calroies the last week and a half as I was putting on weight a little more quickly than I wanted to.
