Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | This log was started a little while ago, and then postponed (i've been taking just creatine mono until my exams are over), and will start up again tomorrow. I've been at school between 12-16 hours mon-fri for 2 weeks now, as well as most of my weekends. I haven't been sleeping much, or working out at all. I'm about to start up again. Also i apaulogize for taking so long to get this log up on the iron mass forums, i've been so busy it's not even funny. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Canadabboy's Controlled Labs Green Bulge / White Blood log: I recieved my Controlled Labs products a few days ago. Thanks a lot to Pureenergy and Tank for letting me try out their products. I started them two days ago and am just putting my log up now. Product Information: Green Bulge What's In It?White Blood Serving Size: 3 CapsulesSupplements I will be taking with this stack: I am taking a multivitamin by Ultimate Nutrition right now, as well as various other antioxiadants and fatty acids. I also am just finishing a log of Primaforce - Durablast right now and will also be taking various stimulants as needed. Some other things i have and that i take from time to time for general health/energy are... * Designer Supplements - Glucophase XR * Scivation - Neurostim * Ephedrine HCL (not really taking this right now) * Vitamin C * NAC * Green Tea (currently out) * Udo's oil EFA blend * Primaforce - Durablast * Primaforce - Alcalean Personal Stats:
Measurements:
Also my my knees have been hurting for some reason for the last month or so. I haven't been able to properly work my legs in over a month because of this. I think it may be because i stopped squatting for a while and switched to leg press. My leg strength went up very quickly through doing this and HST training (also combined with the fact that it's much easier to do a lot of weight on leg press than on squats) and due to this i believe my joints took a huge beating. My legs were about 26' 3-4 months ago but they have since shrunk. Diet: Right now i'm eating very clean with relatively low carbs on non workout days. On the three days that i workout i try to eat more carbs during the day and i have a cup of oats after my workout, and when time allows it i also have a cup before my workout with an apple. Even on my 'low carb' days i usually end up having maybe 150-200 grams of carbs. I may be dropping that down a bit soon because i feel that i'm getting a bit softer.Fats: I have a moderate fat intake consisting of good fats such as olive oil, some nuts here and there, 2-3 tbs of Udo's oil (omega fatty acid blend), natural peanut butter and eggs (plus some animal fat from beef and chicken). I don't really eat eggs right now due to being at school all of the time.Protein: I take in a very large amount of protein, around 300-400 grams of protein per day. I consume solid foods in every meal with a scoop of protein. My sources of protein are usually chicken (no skin), eggs, lean ground beef (in chilli), steak, cottage cheese, canned tuna, canned salmon, and milk (1%). I recently purchased 44lbs of bulk 80% WPC which is working very well so far (with BSL flavours).Carbohydrates: My carbohydrate intake is moderate and I try to mostly take in carbs from low glycemic sources. In the morning I usually have a banana with my breakfast shake (a bit high glycemic), I usually have oatmeal and an apple pre workout, and oatmeal post workout. I try not to intake a lot of carbs at night and usually just stick to protein and fats. Usually during the day I’ll have an apple with a meal, and I usually have chilli once a day which has kidney beans in it. I've been having apples during the day recently, but may cut that down on non training days.Training: Due to University (and a crazy course load), i have to cut my workouts down to 3 HST (hypertrophy specific training) style workouts per week. This is ok because that is the way HST is meant to be done. I will try and get a day or two of cardio in there as well. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 1 - Saturday October 8th: i took my first servings of white blood/green bulge about 45 minutes before my workout. I managed to take them on a fairly empty stomach. I did a full body HST workout which was pretty shitty. I felt very tired and weak and i noticed less of a pump than i had been having recently. This is probably because i didn't get my pre workout cup of oats in. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 3 - Sunday October 10th: I took my servings yesterday morning on an emptry stomach. Today i didn't manage to take my white blood/green bulge on a totally empty stomach due to time issues. I decided to take 4 white blood and 6 green bulge for fun today. My weight has been as high as 216 post workout (after a big shake) so i figured i'm close to the 220 mark. I wanted to see if i'd notice anything off of an extra few pills. Anyways i felt quite tired and lethargic again and the pumps were not very good . Again i didn't have time for my pre workout oats, and also i've just recently switched to doing 5 rep sets for my HST training. With the 10 rep sets of HST training normally i get pretty good pumps, but having not as good pumps with the 5 rep training can be expected. One thing i've noticed is a slight NO headache after taking these pills. I've never noticed that from taking free form arginine/ornithine or NOZ before. My strength/endurance wasn't bad but it wasn't great today. Overall i wasn't feeling great in the gym, however something felt a bit different. I don't know how to explain it but my muscle felt a bit different. I'll have to wait and see (i'm told these ingredients need a while to fully kick in). |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | A couple of other things. I took some before pics, but they were from about 2 weeks ago. I don't think i look any different now than 2 weeks ago so they should be ok, but i may try and take some more in a couple of days if i can get my brothers camera. I will post them at the end of the log with the after pictures. Also i have historically not responded well to creatine/dicreatine malate, but i have never taken CEE so we'll have to see how this goes. I did have a bit of a fuller/pumped feeling today in the gym, but it's hard to judge because i'm doing a different rep scheme. I noticed when i was warming up on the stairclimber my quads got a bit of a pump. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 5 - Wednesday October 12th: I did another HST fully body workout this evening. I took my green bulge/white blood (regular dosage, 5 green bulge and 3 white blood) about 75 minutes before my workout, and then i had a bowel of oats with an apple and a protein shake about 30 minutes before my workout. I don't like to eat that close to my workouts but i had no choice due to school. I am doing heavy sets of 5 reps so in the past i have not noticed as great pumps as i do when i'm doing sets of 10 reps. I warmed up on the stairclimber for just under 10 minutes to try and loosen my knees up. I stretched and then started with legs, then chest/back, then shoulders, then bi's/tri's. I noticed that when i was done the stairclimber i had a full pumped feeling in my quads and it was kinda hard to walk (like after doing a good set of squats or leg press normally). I went and finished up legs and noticed that i had a very good pump and my legs felt very solid and large. I went on to do chest/back which i noticed an overall full feeling with. Shoulders i don't normally get a pump off of, and bi's/tri's i got a very good pump. I would say overall the pumps i had today were the best i've had in recent memory, and this is while doing heavy sets of 5 which normally don't get me as pumped. The stack seems to be 'kicking in'. It's not the same super tight/painful burning pump that i've had a long time ago taking regular arginine/ornithine, but it is much fuller and more pleasant. My leg strength was decent, but down a bit from my knees being sore and from having not worked legs properly in a month. Oh, and did i mention that i set a personal record on bench? I warmed up and then did a set with 225, which in the past i would normally get 4, or maybe 5 by myself. Today i banged out 8 by myself! The 8th one was a bit of a struggle but overall i think i could have done 1 more with a spotter watching (for safety). I did 235 for 6 reps, twice. That was quite good consider just a few weeks ago i wasn't doing 2 plates for that many reps. One thing to consider is that i stopped benching for a long time and did strictly DB presses. Just this last 2 weeks i've switched back to flat bench, so maybe there is a bit of 'normal' gains in there from having switched it up. Also i'm finding a way to perform the exercise without my shoulders rolling too much. What will happen is i'll be going strong and then all of a sudden just stop due to my shoulders getting out of position. It's not even a pronounced movement, eve just a slight shift in focus and it happens. So i'm getting a lot better at that as well. So... good stuff so far! I don't really notice a large energy boost, but i'm always extremely exhausted (especially today), so i would say i had a little help today with my workout. Nothing very noticable so far. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 6 - Thursday October 13th: I just got up from having slept in through my first class (microbiology, oh well). I worked out last night as recorded in my last post, and i still seem to have a pump (mostly in my arms). Still? I've never had a pump this long before and i don't really know what to do with it. Are you trying to kill me with this pump Tank/Pureenergy. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 8 - Saturday October 15th: I feel bad for the infrequent updating of this log, however i am in a lot of very hard courses at University right now and am completely overloaded. I have 4 labs (which means lab reports due, and prelabs due for the new ones), i have 3 assignments, 2 quizes, and 2 midterms next week. Physical Chemistry, Practical spectrometry (IR, nmr theory, etc...), very difficult calculus, microbiology, and physics. I was supposed to workout today but my girlfriend ended up staying over last night and ruining my plans of a relatively early morning + workout, so now i have to go downtown to my university for about 11 hours and study. I am going to workout tomorrow and try to get in as much as i can throughout my 3 weeks of hell (5 midterms over 3 weeks plus 4 labs a week and assignments and quizzes). As for the GB/WB, i feel full and pumped all of the time, it's really quite bizzare. I never believed a word of the hype that these products would give you a 'perpetual pump'. I have used a few NO products before and they did nothing for me at all, so this is quite a pleasent suprise. And just to clarify, these are not super tight bulging pumps as if i'd just done an intense arms workout. It's just a full, slightly tight good feeling all over. I haven't worked out in a couple of days either so it's quite wierd. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 9 - Sunday October 16th: I did a full body HST workout this morning and then went to my uni to study. I always have terrible workouts in the mornings for a few reasons. 1) I have to workout after just eating, and i have to take my supplements (GB.WB) right after eating. 2) I'm tired, always yawning, and quite disoriented. I find it hard to focus and i find that i hurt myself all of the time in the mornings due to a lack of control. Today was a bit different than usually but pretty normal. I found that i was still tired, unmotivated, yawning and somewhat dazed, however i didn't injure myself and my control was quite good. I did 225 on the bench press for 8 reps without too much struggle today and felt i could have gotten 9 by myself, which is crazy considering how much i was doing a few weeks ago. Overall i'm impressed so far. Today the pumps weren't as good as last time. This was probably because i wasn't able to have any oats/lots of carbs pre workout, and i had to take my GB/WB about 20 minutes after eating. Green bulge and white blood work best when taken on an empty stomache! For this next few weeks i am going to be crazy busy and i don't know how often i'll get into the gym. It's unfortunate that this is happening right in the middle of my log, so what i've decided to do to keep this log more extensive is that i will be only taking GB/WB on workout days for the next few weeks until my tests are over and i can get back to workout out a normal amount (then i will resume taking it every day). I will just take creatine monohydrate or dicreatine malate on my non workout days until i'm back to normal. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 14 - Friday October 22nd: Sorry for the long dry spell of no updates. The last few days i've been at my university for about 16 hours each day, i haven't been sleeping enough and i've been stressed to the max. I had a midterm yesterday and one today, and i've not had enough sleep the last few nights. After all was said and done today at school around 5-5:30 , i started to feel incredibly dizzy and sickly. I had to get out of the library because i was afraid i'd puke somewhere and then... welll.. have a whole bunch of my peers watch me puke in the library... I decided to head home and the fresh air did me some good. I felt a bit better but i was feeling a tad dizzy all night. I hadn't had a lot of carbs and also i hadn't had enough sleep. I went home and had a cup of oats with an apple, and about 1.5-2 scoops of protein in milk and some BSL chocolate flavouring. Cooked large flake oats, cinnamon, splenda, protein powder, and chopped up apple makes for a great pre-workout meal i find (with some protein as well). I ate this preworkout meal and then maybe 45-50 minute later took my white blood/green bulge (regular doses). I hadn't worked out since last sunday and was feeling small, fat, weak and grosse. I wasn't able to space out my meal/GB-WB as much as i'd like due to being at school all day and my gym closing early tonight, but it was sufficient. Workout: I wasn't quite sure what to expect after having not workout out in 5 days or so. I hadn't slept enough for the last few days (a lot less than i need), and the days before that weren't great, but not quite as bad (maybe an hour less sleep than i need). Either way i was feeling extremely worn down and depleted. When i got to the gym i did a quick warmup and then got right down to it. I had to rush because i was running out of time, and unfortunatly i got distracted by various people talking to me about body building and diet. Theres a girl who's doing a figure competition and she payed some nutritionist for a diet, which has NO fats in it whatsover, i believe rice cakes? Seems crazy to me. I've never really noticed the enegy boosting effects of the GB/WB combo, and to be perfectly honest i didn't notice it tonight either. However, my strength as as good on all lifts, and even a little bit better than a few the last time i workout out. Things felt quite easy, and considering how mentally exhausted i was, i was very motivated and not feeling sleepy or slugish at all. So I didn't get a 'kick in the pants' type energy rush like taking ECA or anything like that, but it gave me something extra to get me through my workout and kept everything strong. Really i never should have worked out and i should have just rested but hey, you guys know how it is. I usually do a set of wide grip pull-ups before my workout (i usually do back/chest, or legs first). I normally do about 10 pullups, and then get mentally tired (i just don't feel like struggling through more) and can't go on. Today i banged out at least 13-14 reps and they felt really strong and great. My knee's were still hurting a lot. The tendons feel really tight and sore right where they insert above my kneecap. I'm trying to stretch them more often and do better warmups. The last few workouts when doing dumbells for bicep curls i was going as high as the 65's for a set of 5 hammer curls, and for triceps i was setting the press down machine at 110-120 for 5. Today i just did 110 then 100 on the triceps (old machine with only one pully so it's harder than the weight sounds), and the 60's for hammer curls. It was right at the end of my workout, and i had about 15 minutes to do calves, hamstrings, biceps, triceps, and shoulders, so the quasi-supersets dropped my weights down a bit. Chest and back i did at the beggining with legs, and they were a bit stonger than last time! I was able to stack the lat pull down and the seated row for 5 quite easily/strongly, and my bench went better than before. Last time I did the last pull down I was struggling more with one notch below fully stacked, and i did stack the seated row, but it didn't feel as strong. I burned through and got things done (took maybe 20), and it was suprisingly easy to keep going with such small breaks and such heigh weights (around my 5 rep maxes). Normally the mental fatigue is huge doing something like that, not even considering how my week has been. So i really think that the GB/WB might be helping with that. Not the kind of enegy boost that i noticed, but the kind that really helps keep you going. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 21 - Saturday October 29th: Well my midterms are over, and although i'm still sickeningly busy with school, i have time to workout and sleep properly now. I have been taking creatine mono during my down time to try and keep things real, but i haven't been taking any green bulge or white blood because i didn't want to waste this review while i couldn't workout. Today i relaxed, slept in, and worked on some lab writeups. I was able to have a full cup of steel cut oats, an apple, a protein shake in milk, and some chicken about 2 hours before my workout, and i was able to take the green bulge/white blood about 30-40 minutes before my workout. Normally i can't get the preworkout nutrition/supplement timing this good due to my schedual, so it was nice today. I wasn't expecting much today due to the fact that i've only worked out once in the last 2 weeks, and i only took GB/WB a couple of times around that one workout. I switched my HST training to 10 rep sets today, so i can see if the pumps are more intense and pronounced than before. The first half of my workout wasn't fantastic. My knees were hurting even after a good warmup, but i was able to get into the groove and do a few good sets of legs. I did back and chest after legs and at this point i wasn't noticing too much of a pump. It was a little bit hard to walk due to the pump /fatigue in my legs, but it wasn't too bad. However by the time i was finishing chest/back i had a solid pump in my arms. I did some dumbell shoulder presses today and at this point i was notcing a bit of increased vascularity. While doing biceps/triceps i was a really intense pump in my arms, and they looked quite large compared to when i came in. I have a vein going down the middle of each of my biceps, and it appeared to have increased in size during the workout. My strength wasn't great (what can i expect having only worked out once in a 2 week period, along with not sleeping properly), however it wasn't terrible, and the pump was quite satisfiying. I didn't notice a significant chest/back/legs pump such as i was before when i had been taking GB/WB for a week or so, but i'm just starting up again so i'm sure it will take a bit for it to get back into my system. God it felt good to be back in the gym. The first half of my workout was kinda dull, but i picked up near the end and was feeling pretty good. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 25 - Saturday October 29th Again sorry for the large gap between workouts, things should be stabilized for now. My hellish midterm week is over and now i'm back to my regular hellish schedual (with extra sleep and working out, and my girlfriend). I took my servings today about an hour before my workout, and about 15-20 minutes after taking my servings i had a banana and a bunch of basmati rice with protein powder in milk. It was awesome to get into the gym, and i busted out the arm band for the new mp3 player that my girlfriend picked up for me. It's really nice to have your own tunes while working out. This was my second workout doing HST sets of 10's (i've done them before, but i just switched back to doing 10's from doing 5's). I don't really post lift numbers because i don't really think they're completely relevant, and i usually only post ones that stand out as being nice improvements, but i'll post a few on here of my workout for those who are interested. Now these numbers aren't great due to me only working out a couple of times in the last few weeks, so don't think i've had magical gains if the numbers go up a fair bit over the next few workouts. * Wide grip lat pull downs - 2 sets of 10 reps at 200lbs * Close grip seated rows - 1 set of 10 reps at (not sure, 2 notches below the stack) * Flat bench press - 3 sets of 10 reps at 205lbs (was doing 225 for 8-9 before my exam time, took it easy today). * Decline leg press - 3 sets of 10 reps with 7 plates per side * Donkey calve raises - 3 sets of 10-15 reps with a few notches below the stack, then the stack (it's not a huge stack). * Laying hamstring curls - 3 sets of 10 with 2 plates (it's a free weight type machine). * Iso-shoulder press machine (sorta like a hammer strength machine) - 3 sets of 10 w/80lbs per arm. * Seated rear delt raises - 1 set of 10 w/45lb dumbbell. * Tricep press down - 3 sets of 10 with 100lbs (it's a wierd machine with no pullys, but it's the equivalant of a regular new tricep press down stacked with an extra 45lb plate + rigged up to it). * Dumbell bicep curls - 3 sets of 10 w/45lb dumbbells. I may have forgotten something but i don't think so. Sorry if that format is poor i'm not used to posting lifting stats like that. Overall i was quite tired (as always), but it was a suprising good workout. I think it would have taken a lot to give me a bad workout though, considering how long it had been. Chest felt really shakey and weak, just as it did last workout. I get like that when i haven't worked out in a while. My knees are still really hurting, and even after a good warmup/stretching it's hard to do a good set of legs. I had a good pump today and i still feel full right now. Below i'll give you a quick overview of my thoughts so far on GB/WB. This is by no means my final review, and take into account the fact that i haven't been taking consistent doses of these products for more than a week or so due to my exam break, so i can't fully asses them yet. Pumps / muscle fullness- I have new stretch marks on my biceps, i have to apply moisturizer after every workout because the skin is tight and hurts, and i keep on getting MORE STRETCH MARKS. I think that speaks for its self with the pumps. Basically it's not a tight constricting pump that makes it hard to bend your arms and hard to workout, like i had experienced before when taking the original Nutrabolics NOZ w/free form arginine and ornithine. The pump i experience from GB/WB is more of a full good feeling that lasts for a long time. I keeps me feeling big and good between the off day of my workouts, which is awesome. When i feel pumped and big in the gym, i feel strong and i feel good, and i have better workouts, and i make better gains. It's a placebo of sorts but it's a good one which i will gladly take. So the pumps are big, as i can clearly see by my skin stretching around my biceps, but it isn't a tight lactic acid burning type pump like some other products i've felt. Energy / nootropic effects - There isn't really a nootropics side to these products so it's not fair to judge them on that, however white blood does contain caffeine and a number of antioxidants, as well as both WB/GB containing taurine. I find that i do not get a noticable increase in energy or intensity from taking these products. If i did not know there was caffeine in these i probably wouldn't have guessed. Now don't get me wrong i have been having good workouts while taking these products, but i think the pump and the endurance/strength increases are where it makes it's money. Now read this next sentence carefully: I don't respond 'well' to caffeine. I find that low doses don't do anything, and high doses make me feel dizzy and sickly. I never used to have ANY to caffine, so i don't have a tolerance built up or anything. Caffeine with ephedrine, or with some nootropics, or neurostim or durablast works quite well for me, but just caffieine is not great for me. So basically what that means is that just because it doesn't stimulate me a lot, it doesn't mean it won't work for others. I suggest looking at other logs for a better idea of that. Strength / endurance - This so far, besides the pumps, as been the strong point. I can't give any exact numbers to reps and weights it's added for a few reaons, but i have noticed increases. Through training of course i'm going to see increases in strength, and through HST training and switching up rep schemes it's hard to measure strength gains from a supplement. When i switched to doing sets of 5 reps (right before i started taking GB/WB), i also switched back to doing flat barbell bench press for the first time in a long time. At first i was quasi weak/about as strong as when i stopped, but after i got into the swing of things i was able to do many more reps than before. I do believe that GB/WB helped in this but it's hard to say due to me switching things up. I do know that before i was doing 4-5 reps on my own for 2 plates a side flat benching, and last week i did 9 reps on flat bench completely by myself (which is leaps and bounds beyond before). And just to put that gain into perspective, my bench was around 2 plates a side for 4-5 reps for about a year or so. I switched to dumbells and did them strictly for about 8 months so it may have gone up a bit in that time, but i did notice a large jump over a plataue. I feel as though GB/WB have put me over some sticking points in my training and aided in pushing me past a few plateaus that have been lingering for as long as a year. The key word here is AIDED, i don't think that they are the sole reason for these gains, but i do believe that they helped, and i would not have gained quite as much without them. This is the purpose of supplements, and i think GB/WB are doing a great job, and i'm very happy. It's important to know what to look for and not to expect too much from natural supplements and natural training. Too many people expect steroid like results. Aside: I got rear-ended today on my way home from university. I was turning right, i stopped, then crept forwards to see if any traffic was coming, there was traffic coming so i stopped, but the guy behind me didn't. I don't think he was going very fast, but he was in an old SUV type thing (sidekick/tracker), and his bumper went right above mine and bent in the area just below my trunk, and broke my lights. I couldn't close my trunk, but with my body building strength i was able to bend the metal enough to secure my trunk for the ride home. It may just be in my head but i could have sworn my back was a bit wierd from that. It wasn't really hard, but i've heard so many stories of people getting rear-ended, being fine, then 2 days later having bad back problems. I hope i'm ok... tomorrow i see how much damage this is worth, and hopefully the guy didn't give me fake info (i got his licence number though). __________________ |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | I was going to workout today and then take next few day off, but i decided i am going to take today off, and workout tomorrow, wednesday, and friday. I was really sore yesterday from my friday workout, and i'm still sore today. The first time squating in a while, and doing fairly heavy weight and pushing yourself pretty hard is a good way to get sore. My legs are not that sore, but my lower back is REALLY sore. Usually when i haven't squated for a while my lower back gets really sore. My legs suprisingly haven't been that sore. There's nothing in the world that could stop by lower back from being sore after doing what i did, but my legs really should be killing me, especially considering that i was just getting back into it after 2 weeks nearly completely off the gym. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Sorry for the large gap in updates, i have finished my log but i have been super busy with school... Day 27 - Friday Nov 4th: I had a very good workout tonight. I think the white blood/green bulge is getting back into my system because i had one of the best pumps i've EVER had. At the end of my workout i had to rush to finish before the gym closed, so my biceps/triceps sets were done quite quickly (little rest). The quick sets combined with the 10 rep scheme gave me an unbelieveable pump. My strength was good, it's coming back nicely from my time off, and i felt great. I was a bit tired as usual, but still managed to increase my weights on a few things. I switched to squats for the first time in a while, to see if my knees would hold up. I just went light today to feel it out. I used to squat religiously, but for the last year i have only been squating every once and a while. The last good squat session i had was maybe a few months ago before my knees started hurting. It was the first time i had gone back to squats from leg press/other exercises, and i was able to have one of the best sets ever on squats. I managed to bang out 3 plates for 10 deep reps. I felt awesome after that. Tonight it was not as good though, and i did it without a spot, so i just did 275lbs x 10 for 2 sets (did one set before with 225x12). I increased my bench to 215x10 for 3 sets from 205x10 for 3 sets last workout (remember i'm just building back up to where i was before). The last time i did 10's for my HST training, the max i could do for 10 was this weight i'm using now. I feel like it was a bit easier now than a few weeks ago when i started this stack. I feel like i've gained some body fat. I don't know if this is just due to bloating, or if it's because i didn't have time to workout for nearly 2 weeks. Either way i'm hoping things get back on track now that i'm training regularly again. So the pump i had today was amazing, the endurance/strength still seem to be increasing slowly but surely. I've been out of cottage cheese however i should be getting some more shortly. I ordered a bunch of bulk nootropics and a scale/cap-m-quick machine the other day, so i will be rolling on neurostimulatory dubs soon. Aside: My neck and back are maybe a bit sore, but they seem ok (from being rear-ended). I'm deaing with the insurance company right now to get my car fixed. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 30 - Mon Nov 7th: A comment on the DOMS. I had some after friday's workout (squats for the first time in a while), which i expected regardless of WHAT i was taking. My lower back was quiet sore, and suprisingly my legs were not that sore. And now that i think about it, my DOMS has been cut down quite a bit. After taking nearly a week off, and then working out i would normally get VERY sore. I noticed a little bit of soreness in my chest, but nothing significant. Tonight i had another great pump. I squated again, but this time i went up to 295 for my last two sets of squats. I did 295 x 8, and then 295 x 7. Both times my legs felt ok but my lower back just wouldn't let me do any more. I use leg wraps but not a belt because i find my belt actually hinders my progress. I find that i get a buildup of pressure while squatting (like i have to burp), and it distracts me and ruins my sets. I guess i should try and find a better belt (this one cost me over 100$ though...), but at least it's building up my core. After only squating a handful of times in the last 8-12 months it will take a bit of time for my back to get acustomed to it again. Overall i was quite impressed with my performance. My bench i went up to 225 and did 10 reps (8 alone), and then did it again for 10 reps (7 alone). The best i've ever gotten on bench was just before i took a break for midterms, and i believe i got 9 reps at 225 alone (it MAY have been 8 reps, but i'm quite sure it was 9). I feel very strong and thick. Regardless of how the pics/stats turn out i'm VERY happy with how things have been going. I'm just hoping that i can get things back on track enough in the next 9 days (what i have left of gb/wb) so that my results do this stack justice and don't get sqewed too much by my '2 weeks of midterm hell'. Until next time. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Day 32 - Wed Nov 9th: I had an awesome workout tonight. I had some good music on my mp3 player, i was back in the gym at the time i used to always go in at, and i was pumped! Due to school i have been needing to go to the gym from 7-9pm at the latest, but because i have a few days off due to reading break i went in tonight from 8-10 (like i always used to). I like the crowd at that time better, and my buddies were in there, so i got some great spot and pushed myself really hard. At the end of my workout i was running out of time so i had to practically superset my whole bi's/tri's portion of the HST workout. I had an absolutely unreal pump tonight (the supersetting at the end pushed me over the top), and my strength felt good. Some notable changes in lifts tonight were... Leg press - The last two workouts i've done squats but my lower back needed a break tonight so i did leg press. The last workout i did leg press on (last week), i did 6 plates and a 25 per side for 10 reps. Tonight i did that, then went up to 7 plates a side for 10, and then up to 7 plates and a 25 per side for 10. New Personal Record: My best from the last time i was doing 10's was 7 plates a side for 10 reps, tonight i did 7 plates a side and a 25 for 10 reps. I had by friend to spot me but i didn't need his help at all. It felt awesome t |
