Default Booger's True Life: I'm on X-Factor log

I couldn't resist naming the log after that dumb show. Alright....let's get down to business.

Age: 21
Heigh: 5'9
Weight: 167lbs
BF: Who knows, guessing 16-18%. The old belt line gut is my problem.

Goal for this cycle
: To reach 175-180lbs while dropping some bodyfat. This will be a bulk.

Diet: Will consist of approximately 3500cal and being clean as possible. Being a college student with barely time to pee between classes, I'll do my best. Protein intake will be a minimum of 250g, aiming for 300g per day. Fats will come from mainly milk, beef, and chicken.

Supplements: Multi, whey protein (various brands), Bulk Nitrition CEE, fish oil, and B12 injections. I'm trying to keep it fairly basic here so I can tell what is and isn't happening due to X-Factor.

This will start on JAN. 17th! Overall I am very excited about this and would like to thank Molecular Nutrition for the chance to try X-Factor out. Hoping they will make a believer out of me. I'll post a more detailed workout log tomorrow along with pictures (hopefully). Tired and ready for bed.

I'll bite one of those pills on one condition, I get a diamond accented gold star!

You're right, you are not supposed to.
Maybe he is consuming 2 servings per week, AT approves this serving.

I warn against supplementing with fish oil. I mean, we usually say eating 2 servingd of fish per week is okay because some people just gotta eat fish. But supplementing the oil is different.

How much fish oil are you supplementing with?

Can you also post what your typical daily food consumption is?

BTW, good looking log so far. And I like to give you the diamond accented gold star, but I'm all out of those. But you should chew one of the caps anyways... it tastes good :nosthumbs

Thing is I don't eat fish so getting those EFA's needs to come from someplace. May just cut out the oil all together.

A normal day goes something similar to this:

Meal 1 - Bowl of oatmeal, PBJ sandwich sometimes
Meal 2 - Chicken breast, side dish of rice/pasta
Meal 3 - Preworkout protein shake (water), 1/2 cup oats (milk too soon before a workout is not good for me)
Meal 4 - Postworkout protein shake (milk), 1/2 cup oats, PBJ sandwich
Meal 5 - Lean beef (normally a nice sized steak), rice/pasta side
Meal 6 - Protein shake (milk), maybe some veggies/fruits to snack on.

That's an average day for me. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less depending on college workload. Average 1.5+ gallons of liquid, whether it be juice, milk, or water, each day. I know it's not the perfect diet but I like to eat a little "not so clean". It keeps me in a good modd and that's most important. During school when I can't go home I'll pickup a Subway sub or something similar. The protein shakes are at times replaced with low-fat unflavored yogurt with the whey mixed in. Changes things up a bit.

Sorry about no pictures so far. Camera was completely loaded and haven't had a chance to unload it. Tomorrow they will be posted.

Edit: Each shake is 38-42g of protein from the whey in it depending on which brand I use.

Not much to report today. Did some cardio on the treadmill and stationary bike, about 50 minutes total. No noticeable increase in anything (as was expected).

Meal 1: Yogurt
Meal 2: Lemon pepper chicken breats, green beans
Meal 3: Shake
Meal 4: Shake
Meal 5: Homemade mac & cheese, oven cooked chicken breast strips
Meal 6: Homemade salsa with salt free chips, shake

Today was not a good day. Had a somewhat heavy amount of ice and snow overnight. Went to step down off the curb and slightly twisted my knee. I've deceided to lay off heavy leg work for the next week as I heal rather quickly.

Did back and bi's today. Had a really nice workout but no noticeable increase in pumps or strength.

Diet was on track. Similar to yesterday except for dinner I had homemade tacos with extra lean beef.

Weight same as before.

Day 3 Thursday

Did some cardio today. Since my knee wasn't hurting a lot I did 45-50 minutes total on one of those cross country skiing machines. It kept a lot of pressure off my knee.

Also did 200 weighted situps on a decline bench. Best ab workout in a LONG time.

I'm not going to post my diet everyday unless something drastic changes. I will note if I missed my goals for the diet though. If nothing is mentioned, diet was good.

Day 4 Friday

Had a fantastic tri/shoulder/chest workout. Felt a very nice pump, nearly painful, in my tri's. Went up to 60lbs on incline dumbell press, personal best EVER. That was pretty exciting as I've always had problems with incline. Flat/decline was pretty good. Was able to get an extra rep out.

Sides:
Noticed an increase soreness this morning in my biceps from two days ago. Could this be due to X-Factor? Not 100% sure, I'm leaning toward no.

Took the past two days off because my parent's and sister came to visit. Pretty nice time and some well deserved rest.

Next weigh: 169lbs as of this morning. I credit that due to the increase in calories and carbs.

Day 7

So far today I've nearly met my calorie intake with dinner left to go. Appetite has been incredible all weekend. Went bowling last night and REALLY felt it today (I'm an avid bowler). I think the soreness due to X-Factor is starting to kick in.

Workout today was intense as always. Nothing really mind blowing.

Weight is still 169lbs. Hoping to start seeing some kind of results coming the the future weeks.
