Default BLAP vs AEN IntraXCell

Quote:
Introducing IntraXCell, The World's First Beta-Alanine, Carnosine Boosting Formula in convenient capsule form.

Athletic Edge Nutrition, The Nutrient Timing Specialists, is pleased to introduce IntraXCell, the biggest scientific breakthrough in physique enhancement and athletic performance since creatine. We have scientifically formulated IntraXCell with precise doses of four key ingredients that work synergistically to increase intramuscular Carnosine and Glutathione levels, which boosts strength, lean muscle mass and fights muscular fatigue at the cellular level.
The Result: Explosive Strength and Endurance, forcing lean muscle gains, physique improvements and muscular GROWTH!

IntraXCell is scientifically formulated to:
• Boost Explosive Muscular Strength and Endurance, forcing lean muscle gains.
• Increase Intracellular Carnosine Levels and Fight Muscular Fatigue & Metabolic Acidosis.
• Improve healthy blood flow to working muscle, resulting in extreme muscle fullness and vascularity
• Naturally boost the power antioxidant glutathione and fight cellular fatigue.

History is about to be made once again!

Until now, creatine, with numerous research studies to support its effectiveness, was the leading supplement for improving exercise and muscular performance. Since creatine exploded into the sports nutrition world in the early 90's, our understanding of exercise physiology and sports nutrition has evolved exponentially. Exciting new research has given rise to another breakthrough, one that could change the direction of the industry like creatine did so many years ago..

Boost Strength and Increase Lean Muscle Gains with IntraXCell!

When you exercise or train at a high intensity, your muscles increase their production of hydrogen ions (H+) which lowers muscular pH, making them more acidic. This increase in musclular acidity (also called metabolic acidosis) directly interferes with muscular contraction, energy (ATP) production and increases fatigue, all factors that cause your performance to plummet. While muscle acidity has certainly proven to decrease strength and contribute to muscular fatigue, new research is now showing that exercise-induced intracellular free radical production is another source of muscular fatigue. The combination of muscular acidity and increased free radical production greatly diminishes your performance during exercise, stopping your workouts cold and interfering with lean muscle gains.

Fortunately, Athletic Edge Nutrition has developed a tool you can use to combat intracellular acidity and free radical production, pushing your performance, physique and results to the next level.

IntraXCell works to Boosts Strength, Fight Cellular Fatigue and Increase Lean Muscle Gains in two ways:

1.Contains research supported Beta-Alanine, which effectively boosts intramuscular carnosine levels, which works to fight/buffer fatigue-causing Hydrogen Ions, allowing for extreme muscular strength, power and endurance.

2. Increases production of the power antioxidant glutathione with N-acetyl- cystine (NAC)Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Glutathione is a power antioxidant in your muscle cells that can improve exercise performance by preventing damaging free radicals than can cause cellular fatigue.

>>> DAY 1 >>>
11 December 2006
-----------------

Workout Time: 65 mins
Cardio: None
Pre-Workout Stims: None
Intra-Workout Supplements: None

> STRENGTH
Strength felt solid overall. Some marginal improvements in my bb rows and shrugs, although my grip felt a little off on both (not forearm strength but grip comfort). Bicep sets started off well- hammer grip cable curls felt great but I finished off my session with barbell curls and my arms felt completely drained and weak. Definitely put this down to increased sets from last week and this taking its toll on the smaller muscle groups (this session having 7 more sets than the last).

> ENDURANCE/ STAMINA
Felt great in the gym today. Had a very very good nights sleep and felt very refreshed and ready to go in the gym. I’ve already mentioned that my final few sets dropped off in performance quite quickly but really I was expecting that to an extent. Overall workout was only 5 minutes longer than last weeks, and that included 7 extra working sets in total. Everything else felt very good throughout the session, even with reduced recovery time (a feature of the TP-PT workout program).

> RECOVERY
In the gym I was very conscious of dropping rest time by at least 30s between sets compared to last week and for the majority of my workout it worked very well. Without expecting too much, from what I’ve read and experienced (lower doses) with beta-alanine, keeping intensity and performance up over prolonged periods should particularly shine through on this type of periodized training protocol.

> PUMPS/FULLNESS/VASCULARITY
Improved pumps and fullness in by bis and back but nothing I wouldn’t/couldn’t attribute to the decreased rest times and increased sets. No change in vascularity.

> OTHER:
Fun day in the gym. I’m a little pissed at myself for neglecting the cardio today but I went to the gym a little later than normal and time was a factor. Thankfully I suffered no wrist issues today which can be a problem for me, particularly from the hammer cable curls.

I felt like I was sweating a little more than normal today but that was more than likely because of the workout program.

IntraXCell caps are pleasantly tasteless and odourless. Nothing else to really say.

>>> DAY 2 >>>
12 December 2006
-----------------

Workout Time: 35 mins
Cardio: 35 minutes running (outdoor)
Pre-Workout Stims: None
Intra-Workout Supplements: None

> ENDURANCE/ STAMINA
Ok. It’s been a while since I’ve done cardio anywhere but the gym so getting back in the park was a bit of a shock. Endurance was definitely down on my ‘gym times’ but that’s fully to be expected running in the open air with weather/environmental/terrain considerations as well as having to work muscles differently. I’ll definitely be doing this at least once a week as part of my overall goal to increase cardiovascular fitness, and to make the best possible use of the potential benefits of IntraXCell/beta-alanine supplementation.

> RECOVERY
Decent enough. Definitely pretty puffed out, more so that an equal distance on the treadmill, but I’d expect that. Legs were ok to recover, really nothing out of the ordinary.

Recovery from yesterdays workout is about what I’d expect. Traps/neck area is very very sore, biceps are a little tight and a little sore but nothing major and back is inbetween. Overall recovery is on track, nothing is either notably improved or worsened at this point.

> OTHER:
Due to an alarm clock malfunction (aka it didn’t somehow manage turn itself on after I knocked it on the floor ) I decided to swap tomorrows rest day for today and hit up some ‘real’ cardio instead. Decided I’ll definitely be doing this more often (the cardio bit, not the lie in bit). Noticed a bit of a lower back pump during my run. I hate that.

>>> DAY 1 >>>
11 December 2006
-----------------

Workout Time: 90 mins
Cardio: 10 minutes Indoor Rowing
Pre-Workout Stims: None
Intra-Workout Supplements: None

> STRENGTH
Overall strength was decent, but no really significant improvements from last week. Upping the sets from the last session is really taking its toll and I feel that strength is being sacrificed a little for increased reps (but that the point at ‘Volume’ this stage). However, strength did remain largely consistent from the first to last set of each exercise which was cool. The only exception was my very last set of the day- c/g bench which pinned me on the last set, which was a significant final drop in strength.

> ENDURANCE/ STAMINA
Very good. As I said my strength remained consistent throughout the workout and I didn’t feel as bad as I thought I would after 35 sets. Generally I didn’t any significant amount of strength from set 1 to set 5 of each exercise (except the last as mentioned) and lower body sets actually felt stronger at the finish than they did at the start.

In contrast to physically feeling pretty good, I found this workout very mentally exhausting.

> RECOVERY
Overall average/good. Freeweight exercises took a lot longer to recover from than cable/machines, but that’s usually the way. I tried to keep recovery time to 90s but at halfway through my workout it dawned on me how long this session was going to take so I tried to speed things up a touch and probably won back about 5 minutes.

All in all I’d say there was not much change from the usual. I will be leaning more on supersets over the coming 6 workouts as the volume increases even further.

> PUMPS/FULLNESS/VASCULARITY
Nice pump in my shoulders. Mild pump in my chest, back, tris and bis. No noticeable change in vascularity.

> OTHER:
Epic workout, I feel like I’ve at the gym all day. Will be utilizing dextrose and BCAA’s intraworkout for the next 6 sessions as the workouts become longer and volume increases even further.
