Pictures

50 Day Cycle
  • Start 02/15/06
  • Finish 04/05/06

Dosing
  • 2 In the Morning
  • 2 Before Workout

Training Split
  • Day 1 - Chest/Tris/Abs
  • Day 2 - Back/Bis
  • Day 3 - Legs/Shoulders
  • Day 4 - Cardio
  • Repeat/No Rest Days
  • 12 Sets Per Large Muscle Group
  • 9 Sets Per Small Muscle Group

Diet
Diet will follow the X-Factor instructions. Anti-inflammatories will be as close to eliminated as possible. 6 meals per day. Calories will be at 4000-4500. Protein will be at ~400g. Fat will come almost entirely from coconut oil, whole milk products, and meat products. Lots of eggs, steak, chicken breasts, milk, oats, turkey sandwiches, and shakes.

Training Experience
Going on 22 months of solid training. Began when I got word i was being deployed to Iraq. Lifted throughout the tour in a makeshift gym and have kept going strong since I got home. In that time I have gained 30lbs of lean mass. I started as a 150lb twig from long-distance running, but I was fast. I have tried most of the basic supplements. No PH/AAS experience.

Concurrent SupplementsNote: Due to the possible sides that are common to X-Factor, I will have a few other supplements on hand.

Short Term Goal: 190lbs at <12% Body Fat

Long Term Goal: 200lbs at <10% Body Fat

Log Keeping
I have read through many other logs and I'm going to try to make mine as easy to follow as possible. In order to keep it uncluttered and straightforward I'm going to give a daily update of my weight and one exercise per workout. These will be Bench Press, Squats, Pull-Ups, and Cardio, respectively. I'll make note of any other significant strength increases as they come up. In each entry, I'll also make a general observation of how I feel, how the workout went, any side effects, any new supplements, etc. I'm not making any changes from my routine and supplementation so that I'll know that any gains are due to the X-Factor. I'll post pictures again at the end of the cycle. I hope this is helpful. Now let's do this!

Day #1
  • February 15, 2006
  • Back/Biceps
  • Weight: 183lbs [0]

Pull-Ups
  • Sets: 10-10-9 x 183
  • Total Weight: 5447lbs [0]

Notes
First day, so not much to report yet. Not a great workout, but it's a starting point. I've been fighting off the flu for about a week now. I sweated a lot, but I think it's just because of all the water I've been drinking trying to flush out this bug. Nothing else worth mentioning.

Great looking log Bro. I'll be following close as I'm staring my x-factor soon as it comes in the mail.

Aeternitatis, you think maybe later this week?

Day #2
  • February 16, 2006
  • Cardio
  • Weight: 182lbs [-1]

Treadmill
  • 30 min/4.50mi
  • Average Speed: 9.00mph [0]

Notes
Not that great a bout of cardio, but again, it's a starting point. I'll chalk it up to the flu. My legs just felt real heavy. My goal is to get my speed up to 10mph for 30min by the end of the cycle. Nothing to report back on the X-Factor. Haven't felt a thing yet. I slept great last night and I'm eating a lot.

  • Weight: 183lbs [0]

Bench Press
  • Sets: 10-10-10 x 225
  • Total Weight: 6750lbs [0]

Notes
Decent workout. I think I'm finally getting over this bug. I haven't noticed any extra muscle soreness or joint pain. I'm still sleeping well and eating plenty. I have noticed my skin getting a little oily, so I'm going to start up with the Vitamin B5.

Are you kidding? 30 mins at 9mph is awesome. Do you run marathons?

Squats

Notes
Good workout. Nothing out of the ordinary. I'm at 100% now. Last night it took me a while to fall asleep. This is the same problem that has come up in a lot of other logs. I felt claustrophobic and fidgety, and didnt fall asleep until 4:30am. The last couple days I've also noticed an above average amount of hair falling out. Bill and the reps have all stated that XF will activate androgen receptors and it appears to raise test. The acne and oily skin is an androgenic side effect from this. I'm hoping that there aren't more androgenic sides, like mpb shedding. If I still notice this over the next few days I'm going to end the cycle. Other than that, so far still no DOMS or joint pain.

Haha, no. 5 miles is about the most I'll go. A couple months ago I could do 9mph no problem, and this last cardio kicked my ass. I need to keep my pace around 6min/mi for my usmc physical fitness tests.

Notes
Decent workout. I had another poor night of sleep. I couldn't fall asleep until 4am. Again, just felt claustrophobic when I got in bed. I ran my hands through my hair a few times over the sink this morning and a lot of hair came out. It was definitely excessive. This wasn't happening last week, so I'm very suspicious that the XF is the cause. Looks like it might be causing general inflammation, rather than just being specific to the worked muscles. I think I'm going to give the XF a couple more days and if the shedding is still noticeable, then I'm going to get off the cycle and see what happens. Still no DOMS, joint pain, or pumps.

A pretty good bout of cardio. I felt like I could've gone a little faster. Another night of little sleep. Just tossed and turned until 4:30. I know it's the XF. I usually fall asleep right away. Today I finally felt some pretty good DOMS in my back and biceps. Some more shedding. This sucks. Maybe it's just my time, but I swear it wasn't happening like this a week ago.

Really good workout first thing in the morning. Only 5 hours sleep but it didn't seem to hurt me. Starting to feel the DOMS. No joint pain at all. The Vitamin B5 is helping the skin out a lot. Still shedding, though, and it's getting discouraging.

You think the XF is causing your hair to fall out? Intersting, I've never heard that being a side.

I Have Ended the Cycle

I continued one more day with the XF and then stopped on the 23rd. I had started to feel the DOMS but obviously not yet any gains in size or strength. I was not sleeping well, either. The hair loss was just becoming too noticeable. It would appear on the desk at school, all over my pillows and towels, and in the sink. The shedding became so noticeable a few days after I started. I can't say for sure the XF was the cause but my hair is too important to keep going and take the chance of more hair loss. I'm going to stop the cycle and wait a week or two to see if there is any change. If the hair keeps going, then I'll know that it's just my time to go bald and I'll finish the last 42 days of XF I have. If the shedding stops or slows then I think I can assume that the XF was causing it and I'll probably just throw the bottles away. Either way, I'll post what happens.

Hmmm..anything changed in your diet? Your stress level increase recently? Are you post cycle of any PH's or AAS? Your definately the first I've seen this happen to with XF. Too bad, it was a nice log too.

Nope, no PH/AAS. The only change in my diet was getting rid of the anti-inflammatories. I think it was one of two things. Either XF has some androgenic sides or it creates general inflammation. Maybe both. I think either would explain why acne is common on XF. Bill has stated that he believes androgen receptors are activated by the arachadonic acid and there has been some evidence to show that it increases test levels. On the other hand, maybe I'm just reading too much into it and it's just my time to go bald.
