Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 8 4th April 2006 Back, Traps, Forearms, Biceps (Load week- 22 sets, to failure on 1 set of each exercise) ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (1.5 servings Xtend) SLEEP: Very good night’s sleep. Despite being off the stack last night I was able to sleep without hindrance. One thing I did notice was that remembering dreams once I get up is much easier whilst ‘on’ the stack. I had a great night’s sleep, and it was anther night where I know I dreamt, but I have no idea what about. Didn’t wake up once for the duration, and once I finally got up I was very awake almost immediately. Complete contrast from last week. STRENGTH: Strength was a mixed bag today- but mostly positive. My back and traps made some really nice improvements in strength on all exercises from rows to deads. I’m constantly stunned by just how much of an improvement I’ve been making in that regard- but this was also the trend prior to this stack. I’ll enjoy comparing notes at the end of the stack and the 4 weeks prior to see exactly how (if) this trend has been effected. Biceps were a bit of a letdown. Went up a couple of reps here or there but notable improvements. RECOVERY: Inter-set recovery felt to be nothing short of ‘amazing’. I was really eager to move through my workout at pace (discussed later) and my muscles felt to be fresh almost immediately after I finished a set. I didn’t feel like they were fatigued at all. The only trouble was that this meant I attempted a heavy set here and there which I should’ve rested up on a little more. I was feeling so good that I attempted a couple of sets a minute or so before I should have. Weird situation. Recovery, however, was still tremendously improved for the most part and I was very impressed. Just to note, I’m coming into this week with no soreness or injury. AGRESSION: No change whatsoever. ENDURANCE: As noted under ‘recovery’ my endurance (something which, for the purposes of this log I’m defining as my ‘staying power’ in the gym as a whole and through the number of reps I’m managing) was great. In terms of my back I was either up reps, or maintained reps but upped the weighed- without exception. This felt awesome! As noted earlier this wasn’t quite the case with my biceps which were pretty much the same as last week (besides the ‘standard’ improvement in reps here and there). I should also probably note that at the rate I was going today I finished my worked 10 minutes faster than last week, whilst 6 sets were added from last week. LIBIDO: I’m pretty much at baseline levels now. So my libido has improved out the ‘slump’ I was in, but nothing beyond that. ENERGY/FOCUS: Again, much better than last week. Woke up a was immediately ‘full of beans’. Zero lethargy of anything else negative. Also woke up in a very good mood, again. That whole phase of ‘dullness’ seems to have dissipated completely after day 4-5. The energy and focus were great today. Honestly, I didn’t notice much of a change in mood between waking up (pre-morning stack) and the period after my stack/workout. In the gym I was very focused and, inexplicably, very eager to push through my workout as fast as possible, although I had no reason to be in any rush. Energy was there all day, independent of pre-pills or post or whatever. My day was definitely supercharged. PUMPS: Pumps were pretty good, but what I’d call typical, throughout the workout. As usual I felt the pump in the 30-45 seconds after a set and they really started kicking in halfway through the workout, although they were generally moderate in nature. The notable exception was in my upper lats which felt awesome and pumped almost immediately- which is unusual but felt great. Toward the end of my worked however my forearms and biceps developed very strong, but tolerable, pumps. It felt and looked awesome and is unusual (especially in my forearms when not being worked directly) unless I’m on an Overload week (next week). Look forward to seeing what happens when I am on my Overload week next week. SWEATINESS: Still having one or two ‘flushes’ where I seem to be covered in a tiny layer of sweat all of a sudden. Not accompanied by any particular feeling of heat or discomfort. ------------------------- THE DAY: Great day. Very busy today but I really felt like I was in the mood to take on anything. ‘Euphoric’ is too strong a word but I was in a great mood, and almost couldn’t sit still from the moment I woke up (I’m generally NOT a morning person in the slightest)- this is very unsual for me. As noted earlier- the one thing I did notice was that this sustained energy was very much independent of when I took my pills (starting before I actually took anything). This makes me curious- and I look forward to seeing how thing goes over the next few weeks.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 9 11th April 2006 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps (Load week- 22 sets, to failure on 1 set of each exercise) ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (1.5 servings Xtend) SLEEP: Very sound night’s sleep. As usual I was asleep within 15 minutes and the sleep itself was very restful, deep and continuous. Nothing of particular to note about the night itself. When I did wake up though I did find that I was still in that semi-dream like state for a couple of minutes after I woke up. I would guess that this is both a combination of a deep sleep and vivid dreams. The one dream I remember- the one I was having just prior to waking up, was most certainly of a sexual nature. Like I’ve said before, this is weird in itself for me and to have several of these dreams within a couple of weeks is very unusual- pretty much unheard of actually. STRENGTH: Chest strength was unchanged from last week. Actually, on two separate occasions I had random guys running to my aid as I struggled with final reps on weights I was happy with last week- that was a little embarrassing actually but on each occasion I hit the rep before the guys got over to me, which did save some of the embarrassment. It should be noted that I was performing extra sets this week (as part of my program) so I’m not saying I lost strength from last week. Shoulder strength was improved though. Db presses were ok until I got ahead of myself (second day in a row) by thinking I was ready to hit another set before I was really ready. This was a combination of both my me really feeling energized and a lack of any felling of fatigue in my muscles. Once I took stock of the situation, calmed down and rested a little longer my shoulders were stronger than ever. RECOVERY: Recovery was very good between sets. Like I said, I had virtually no feeling of fatigue after a set was done with and was able to get into the next set much faster than I normally would. Yet again the overall workout time was actually better this session than the same session last week, which was lower volume too. On the other hand my upper back and traps are a touch sore. Actually a little more than I expected them to be and they normally would be after the session I had yesterday. AGRESSION: No change. ENDURANCE: Endurance definitely increased. Muscles are much more willing to take a hammering and I’m still trying to balance that with my energy and enthusiasm I’m finding myself with in the gym. This also seems to be the case in terms of cardiovascular endurance, which seemed improved because I am more able to jump on a treadmill or a rowing machine after taking a hammering in the weights room. LIBIDO: Slight improvement. I’d say libido was slightly above baseline levels for the first time- but only slightly. I think the sexual dreams I’ve been having of late are part of this. ENERGY/FOCUS: Good. I wouldn’t describe it so much as energy but ‘enthusiasm’. I seem to be more and more enthusiastic in everything I do- both in and out of the gym. His is great for an overall feeling of wellbeing but I need to learn to calm myself a little in the gym and not get overly enthusiastic to the point where it may be detrimental. PUMPS: Chest pumps were nice- my chest was full and pumped pretty instantly and stayed that way for the duration. They weren’t strong by any means- pretty moderate/mild but consistent. The pump in my triceps took a little longer coming but they felt the pump eventually. Again, not mind blowing but solid and consistent. Some tightness and feeling of fullness in my shoulders but nothing significant. SWEATINESS: I noticed 3 or 4 mild flushes over the day accompanied with some sweatiness. This is one of the first days I’ve noticed a feeling of heat accompanying the flashes of sweat. Nothing uncomfortable or intolerable by any means. ------------------------- THE DAY: Very good day. Being full of ‘enthusiasm’ and generally being in a great mood the day itself was great. Managed to get a lot done today. This feeling of enthusiasm and general good vibes was definitely the key thing to take away from today. Just like yesterday it was a continuous thing- almost from the moment I woke up. No peaks or troughs in energy, irrespective of when I took my pills.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 10 12th April 2006 Rest Day ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 5g Leucine SLEEP: Another great night’s sleep. Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Sleep felt to be good but dreams were perhaps less vivid. I say this because I didn’t wake up immediately thinking about the dream, nr did I remember it with any clarity a few mintues later. Sleep was of a good quality and continuos though. I’d call it a perfectly ‘average’ night’s sleep for me- which isn’t a bad thing. Managed ~9 hours in bed. RECOVERY: The past couple of post-workout days seem to be on a trend I wasn’t expecting. For the third post-workout session in a row muscular soreness is actually slightly greater than I anticipated/would expect. It kinda feels really weird but at the same time it’s different- which I take as a good thing. There is moderate soreness in my triceps and even some tightness in my shoulders (which is rare). My chest is particularly sore though- much more so than I was expecting. AGRESSION: No change. LIBIDO: I would say that it’s still slightly above baseline- although not as high as yesterday. ENERGY/FOCUS: Probably the best day so far in terms of energy and the feeling I described as ‘day long enthusiasm’ yesterday. Again, no crashes in energy- pure, clean all day. Again, it lasted from the moment I woke and continued throughout the day- I didn’t even notice an increase this feeling post-pill time. This makes me think one of a few things; That my overall health is improved and stress levels are dropping, thereby increasing my feelings of wellbeing (caused by the presence of an adaptogen in the stack maybe?). That the half lives of these products is such that there is no crash provided I continue dosing at regular intervals (obviously this wouldn’t include the caffeine in C2, which I’m very resilient to anyway. These are my two current theories regarding this day-long energy and overall mood enhancement I’m experiencing. ------------------------- THE DAY: Another strange day where I woke up in a get-up-and-go kinda mood. I’ll say I’m naturally a heavy sleeper and NOT a morning person. When I get up I’m always grumpy. The past 5 days or so hasn’t been like that at all. I feel energized, happy and awake almost immediately. This is a COMPLETE contrast to how I was feeling last week. As I said above the increased soreness has taken me by surprise. Normally one of the signs I’ll look for in a supplement is reduced soreness, but that’s not the case recently. I’ll take it as a sign that something is doing something… but what?!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 11 13th April 2006 Rest Day ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 5g Leucine SLEEP: Blaaaaaaaaaah! What a horrible night’s sleep. As I’ve been reporting I’ve been really awake and alert the past several days. Last night this really hit me hard. Lying in bed my mind was absolutely racing and I just felt like getting up and doing something- could barely keep my eyes closed. When I next opened them and hour had passed without any sleep… then two… and three. The last time I checked the clock it was 7.45am. I woke up needing the toilet two hours later- and that was my sleep for the night. I did absolutely nothing different in my supplement or diet regime tonight- and nights like this are VERY few and far between for me (maybe twice in my life). Decided to treat it as a one off and continues along with my normal supplement protocol and hope for the best. I was feeling so crappy the next day I blew off my workout for fear of hurting myself due to lack of concentration. ~2 hours of sleep. RECOVERY: Still major soreness in my chest and a little in my triceps. Actually, I’m not sure my chest is any better from yesterday when it normally would be much improved. I’m putting this down to the poor sleep for now. AGRESSION: No change, other than I was pissed at having to miss a workout. LIBIDO: Lowered from the past few days. Again, I’m sure this is because all life disinterests me when I haven’t had some sleep. ENERGY/FOCUS: Unsurprisingly low. The one positive I will take from today is that the type of exhaustion I was feeling today was completely different to the feeling of lethargy I experienced last week. Today I just felt crippled- like the life had been sucked out of me. ------------------------- THE DAY: Blah. Horrible day. Energy levels were low and I wasn’t very happy about missing that workout. Nothing much else to report.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 12 14th April 2006 Legs, Calves (Load week- 16 sets, to failure on 1 set of each exercise) ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (2 servings Xtend) - took 3 caps C2 pre-workout today. Rest of stack was taken as per normal SLEEP: Great night’s sleep. Unfortunately I had to go to bed little later than I wanted last night but I made up for it with a bit of a lie in and a great quality sleep. Fell asleep immediately and didn’t stir once through the course of the night. I’m pretty sure this has more to do with the poor sleep I had a day ago but that seems to have resolved itself now- without having to change my pre-bedtime supplement regime. Dreams were vivid ones again, and yet again they were sexual in nature, although humanoid nympho aliens featured quite heavily, as did lasers and a warehouse… In total I got around 9 hours of quality sleep. STRENGTH: Strength was either up or unchanged (with nearly all sets feeling easier, even considering the increased volume on last week). Overall it was an excellent workout. Mentally I was still felling a little phased and hit but the poor sleep a couple of nights ago which made me a little weary of [i]really[/] pushing myself hard to begin with. Once I got into the swing of things though everything felt solid and I regained my confidence. The fact that I increased weights on both upper leg and calf exercises was pretty reassuring as was he fact that everything felt either on par or better than I expected. AGRESSION: Really no change. I’m starting to wonder about this. ENDURANCE: Endurance was excellent today. I’m continuing to notice drastically reduced muscular fatigue post-set which is really helping me improve recovery times. That combined with the mental clarity I’m able to have in the gym at the moment is really helping me up the intensity and pound through my workouts more rapidly than normal, whilst maintaining quality. I love this lack of fatigue. Within a few moments my muscles feel like they’re ‘back to normal’- except my heart which was pounding like a biatch when I was in the squat rack. LIBIDO: Average/ maybe slightly above typical- but not dramatically so. ENERGY/FOCUS: Excellent. I really didn’t think I felt anything kick in despite the extra cap of C2 but as soon as I got into my workout I felt both clear and focused and still in that perpetual good mood I’ve reported so much- although today I was much more focused with less dancing. I’m really starting to realise that the combination of increased focus/enthusiasm and reduced muscular fatigue really has massive potential in the gym- and I’m loving every moment of it. PUMPS: Leg pumps were mild but consistent. They started very early on in the workout and continued on throughout, but without much increase in intensity. In terms of pumps I’m yet to see anything significant thus far in the log, although I will say naturally and whilst supplementing with NO precursor products the ‘pump’ has never been mind-blowing for me- I just don’t seem to be built for it. That being said, today’s pump was definitely on par with what I’d expect for a typical, unsupplemented, workout. SWEATINESS: After changing to 3 caps C2 pre-workout the difference in sweating was one thing I certainly noticed. Within seconds of touching my first weight I was sweating. This has been the typical pattern for me over the past few weeks but today it was much more perfuse than I have come to expect. I was almost pouring with sweat, which is very rare for me unless I’ve been on a long summer run in the park. It felt great though. The sweating was consistent but strong. Weird thing was the sweating actually subsided halfway through the workout and was significantly lower for the second (still intense) portion of my session. ------------------------- THE DAY: Excellent day. Despite the minor setback a few days ago I feel like I’m back on top of things completely and today was a much needed workout. I love the synergy I (assume) comes from the C2 and PowerFULL (and perhaps the others in the stack). My times in the gym are getting better and better despite the fact that my sessions are periodizing up in volume. So far so good.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAYS 13 & 14 15th & 16th April 2006 Rest Days ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 5g Leucine SLEEP: -Saturday: Took me a touch longer to get to bed tonight than I would have liked. The main reason for this was a dull pulsating ache in my left knee which left me feeling pretty uncomfortable in bed for a little while. The weird thing was I hadn’t noticed this at all during the day. I finally got to sleep after around 45 minutes and once I did the sleep was uninterrupted and deep. One of those night’s where I know I dreamt, but nothing particularly vivid, memorable or strange. -Sunday: Very good night’s sleep. Went to bed a little later than usual after having a fair bit of work on, but I wasn’t in any hurry to be up in the morning so that was fine. As per usual I was asleep within a few short minutes and stayed that way the entire night. Yet again I experienced a very sexual dream- the kind that makes you stay in bed with your eyes closed once you get up in the hopes of reviving it! Very satisfying night’s sleep. RECOVERY: -Saturday: Yet again I’m gonna report unusual soreness in the more recently worked muscle groups. From the last leg work out yesterday my quads, calves, hams and glutes are all pretty sore. It’s not that they’re very sore or uncomfortable, but they are certinaly sorer than I’d expect supplementing with BCAA’s, cit malate and CEE alone, let alone the rest of the stack. Chest is still sore too- which is pretty unusual for me 3 days after a workout. -Sunday: Chest is still slightly sore, although nowhere near the previous couple of days. Very surprising that there is any residual soreness there at all, but by the feel of it I doubt it’ll be there with any significance after today. Legs are still sore too- if anything slightly sorer than yesterday. The optimist in me will take this as a good sign that something’s working. AGRESSION: -Saturday: Absolutely no change. -Sunday: Ditto. LIBIDO: -Saturday: Hmmm, not much change although I am feeling very very slightly hornier with ease passing day. No massive increase but gradually- I feel I’m waaay above where I was 2 wewks ago. -Sunday: As above- again, very slightly increased. Definitely perkier than 2 weeks ago. ENERGY/FOCUS: -Saturday: Not much to note in this department today. Still VERY upbeat generally, very awake once I wake up (independent of when I take the stack). Generally feeling great. This definitely feels like the effects of stress reduction and overall mood enhancement. Not feeling energy as such though, mainly the mood enhancement. some way) -Sunday: Same as Saturday. If anything this seems to be confirming the idea that adaptogen’s present within the stack are responsible for this in some way and therefore I’m feeling an overall and continual feeling of wellbeing, rather than targeted rushes or energy and clarity post-stack munching. Of course, it could all be placebo and made up, but after 2 weeks that seems less and less likely. ------------------------- THE WEEKEND: Excellent weekend. Very busy with being the bank holiday which meant a couple of late nights and late mornings, and some work in between, but I didn’t feel stressed or overwhelmed once. It’s probably a good thing that I’m not getting a massive amount in the way of targeted mood/energy effects immediately after taking the stack, but more of an overall, sustained and healthy feeling of wellbeing and focus. Very surprised about the soreness though. Not really sure what’s up with that. Will definitely keep an eye on it.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 15 17th April 2006 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps (Overload week- 18 sets inc rest-pauses, ALL to failure) - took 3 caps C2 pre-workout today. Rest of stack was taken as per normal ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (2 servings Xtend) SLEEP: Another very good night’s sleep. Making a conscious effort to get to bed earlier and fight my night-owl tendencies, and I don’t seem to be having a problem with it in the slightest. Asleep within a couple of minutes- actually a little faster than normal, which I didn’t think were possible. Not so vivid dreams tonight. I didn’t wake up knowing what I was dreaming about really, although I woke up in a bit of a rush as I overslept slightly for some jobs I had to get done first thing. STRENGTH: A bit of a mixed bag again. For some reason I think I’ve slightly lost confidedence with pressing movements. A few of weeks ago I felt unstoppable and now I feel like there’s a big psychological block stopping me from progressing solidly. Although my strength was still good I think it’s time to change up some of these pressing exercises. My gym brought in a couple of Hammer Strength machines a few months back I’m yet to try for fear of aggravating my shoulder. I think, will Cissus in hand, I’ll give them a shot next week. Aside from that strength was excellent. Triceps were very solid, as was my chest- much more comfortable than last week. I even hit the 45lb lateral raises for the first time, and felt damn good about it. I’m definitely confident enough to hit up the 50lbers next week. RECOVERY: Yet again inter-set recovery was pretty excellent. I felt very slow to fatigue and quick to recover once again. Again, I’m noticing great synergy with the fact that I’m feeling more mentally alert and the fact that I feel I can work through sets quickly and efficiently. The only real exception were, again, the db presses which required me getting over a bit of a psychological barrier. Other than that I felt great! Still moderate soreness in my legs, all over. However it’s much reduced and almost gone. Zero chest soreness- which is great but I’m surprised it took this long. AGRESSION: Zero change. ENDURANCE: Pretty excellent- as usual. The cit malate and CEE seem to be working nicely alongside the rest of the stack. I feel more ‘durable’ in the gym, even though this week is the pinnacle of my periodized training with every set going to failure, plus rest-pauses. Actually, the rest-pauses are an area in which this extra endurance really shined today. I felt much more ‘capable’ and the extra reps felt that much easier. LIBIDO: Slightly above typical- but only slightly. ENERGY/FOCUS: Very good. I was less alert upon waking that in previous days, but this was still much improved on ‘normal’. Again, the main thing I noticed was the mood enhancement. Today, for the first time in a little while, I actually did feel it ‘kick in’ about 45 minutes after dosing- just after I finished warming up and stretching in the gym. Great time for it to kick in! PUMPS: The pump in my triceps was outstanding today- the best I’ve had in a long time. Also had an excellent pump in my shoulders- which is rare. My upper body was looking exceptional full today, which is something I as very pleased with. SWEATINESS: 3 caps of C2 today = sweaty Blap. Hah, actually, I was kinda surprised that the sweatiness was nowhere near the first time I tried 3 caps, although it was still most certainly above normal. I also noticed the same increased body temperature but, again, not as noticeable as last time. Also, today was one of the rare occasions I did notice significant ‘hot flushes’ 20-30 mins after both of the later doses. These were both accompanied by very mild sweating. ------------------------- THE DAY: Very mild headache today which kicked in after the second set of pills was consumed. I have a sneaky suspicion it’s forskolin related since I’m not prone to headaches at all in ‘normal’ life. To be honest I’m gonna continue on with the 3 caps C2 since I’m really enjoying that dosage. I’ll reconsider if the headaches continue or get worse. Aside from that that other thing I’ll take from today is the awesome muscle fullness in the gym. I’ve never looked that big- which was amazing considering I was wearing one of my baggier t-shirts. Very impressive, and muscle fullness in general is something I’ve noticed a lot of whilst on this stack.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 16 17th April 2006 Legs, Calves (Overload week- 25 sets ALL to failure) ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (2 servings Xtend) SLEEP: Excellent night’s sleep. Manage to get to sleep very nicely- even given the fact I’m trying to get in to bed a touch earlier every day to try and shed that night owl status. In bed I noticed a very slight ‘prickly heat’ feeling over the top of my back. It was kinda weird- felt like I was overheating slightly, but the feeling stopped within a minute or so and didn’t appear again. Once in bed I was fast asleep with in 20 minutes. It felt to take a little longer today than normal- but only by a few minutes. Quality of sleep was excellent. Yet again, I didn’t wake up at all throughout the night. Unfortunately I was rudely awoken by an early morning phone call, followed by another immediately afterwards. This kinda left me gagging for a little more sleep but I had to get up and do my thing. ~7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. STRENGTH: Strength was very good today. Another excellent workout where all of my my lifts increased. The smallest of these increases was with my squats- which only went up a very cautious 5lbs, but with a very high volume workout today and each set going to failure I pretty much felt that pushing for a larger increase was not gonna be the safest or most beneficial route to follow. That being said I was still up on every exercise, and managed to nail each set nicely. Leg day is becoming one of my favourite days in the gym and my deadlifting has gone through a metamorphosis (in a good way). The only negative is that my stupid gym only has one squat rack, and no power rack. The squat rack has fixed pins, none of which are a comfortable height for me. This really means as the weights are increasing I’m finding it harder and harder to actually get the bar off the pins! There could be worse things to worry about though I suppose… RECOVERY: Again, inter set recovery was excellent. No burn on squats is an amazing feeling, but also VERY scary when you’re under a bar you can barely get out of the rack- and you can’t really feel your legs going. It’s a weird situation but I’m finding myself having to concentrate a lot harder on my muscles, rep speed etc because I’m loosing the ability to feel that fatigue during a set. Needless to say, recovery is excellent between sets. On the complete other hand, between workout sessions I’m still seeing significant soreness. I woke up with milk soreness in my triceps and chest, but this increased over the course of the day (particularly in my chest) to become a very deep muscular soreness. I actually don’t remember my chest being this sore from a workout ever! There’s also some very mild tightness in my shoulders but no soreness. AGRESSION: Nothing to note. ENDURANCE: Very good. In the gym I feel like I’m more capable of hitting extra reps because there is almost zero ‘pain’ factor. The fact that I can’t feel a burn of muscular fatigue kick in during a set means that I keep pushing and pushing, often surprising myself with a rep of two I didn’t think I was capable of. This is particularly prominent this week when I’m hitting all sets to failure. LIBIDO: I actually woke up a little horny for the first time in a while. The rest of the day my ‘perkiness’ was improved also, although not dramatically so. ENERGY/FOCUS: First thing in the morning I was dragging my feet a little for after being woken earlier than I wanted. I finally woke up in the gym, although not as alert as I have been. The workout in itself was very good once I got going but throughout the day I felt really a little more tired than normal- definitely showing signs of a lack of sleep (which is weird since I still managed a solid 7 hours, which is by no means bad). Towards the end of the evening I was definitely feeling expired and ready to hit the sack- a lot earlier than is typical. PUMPS: Very solid. Not as excellent as I’ve experienced in my upper body but my legs are always slow to respond to pumps. That being said they looked and felt very full- particularly my quads which really seem to be developing nicely of late. Pumps were short lived but muscle fullness lasted the whole day, mildly dissipating over the course of the day. SWEATINESS: Another 3 caps C2 meant I was very very sweaty today- particularly so under the squat rack. This kicked in almost immediately and halfway into my squat sets I was pouring with sweat, which has become a much more frequent occurrence now that I’m on a higher dose C2. Just like last time, the sweating was most concentrated in the first half of my workout and the sweating was much less prominent the second half- including some excruciating sets of SLDL’s. ------------------------- THE DAY: Another slight headache today, which kicked in sometime after my second dose of pills. This was much milder than the last headache, which make me optimistic that a couple more doses of C2 at 3 caps will have me adjusted and headache free- although I’ll definitely still be making note of any change in either direction. One funny thing I noticed today- after I walked home from the gym and climbs the stairs to my room I noticed no burn in my legs at all. This is odd because post-leg workout (especially one as intense as today’s) I’m usually very weary of taking on stairs without some sort of hiking equipment. However this time I noticed nothing- which only hit me a lot later on. Very interesting to note.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 17 19th April 2006 Rest Day ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 5g Leucine SLEEP: Very Goon nights sleep as per usual. The sexual dreams seem to have tapered off these past few days but I’m finding myself actually waking up hornier than usual. Anyways, I went to sleep within 20 minutes or so and I slept throughout the night- despite falling asleep to the wails of a fox and a cat having some kind of brawl outside my window. Quality of sleep was excellent and since I got a full night’s sleep I woke up feeling very clear headed and refreshed- no lethargy whatsoever. Approximately 9 hours of quality sleep. RECOVERY: My chest still has some deep soreness and is pretty tight. This is definitely more so than normal a couple of days after a chest workout but it does feel much improved on yesterday. Very mild soreness in my triceps but nothing significant nor unexpected. Some soreness in my calves, glutes and quads- a little less in my hams. This generally falls in line with what I’d expect- although soreness in my ass and calves is slightly above where I would’ve guessed. AGRESSION: As usual- no real change. LIBIDO: Immediately after I wake up my libido seems to be sky high- which is a massive change from a few weeks ago. During the rest of the day things seem to be pretty normal/baseline. ENERGY/FOCUS: Pretty good. After a good night’s sleep I was up and awake and pretty alert from the get go. After being rudely awoken the past couple of mornings I’m back to being very awake and alert as soon as I get up, as I was several days prior. I also seem to be in a great mood all of the time, still. I’m not complaining though. Again, not peaks or dips in energy. Just continued mood enhancement throughout the day, irrespective of when I took the stack. Also, this is the first time in a couple of days I havn’t had a headache (presumable because there was no C2 in my regime today). SWEATINESS: For the past several days I’ve really noticed a strong ‘hot flush’ within 20-30 minutes of taking my cAMPHIBOLIC. This is really weird, especially since this is more pronounced that earlier in the log, even though the dosing has remained the same. Also, the hot flush effect seems to be all over my upper body, particularly my belly area. These hot flushes are accompanied by a mild sweating, but only very mild- and this only occurs right after I take my pills. ------------------------- THE DAY: Much needed off day. Whilst I’m really enjoying my training, particularly since I’ve started this stack, recovery time has become more important than ever. I’m very glad I’m not experiencing any headaches today as I thought I may have some kind of residual effect from the past couple of days but there was nothing. If this continues to be the situation over the next couple of days I’ll be a happy man. Also, I’m glad my energy is back up and I’ve caught up on my sleep. From what I’ve experienced so far an hour or two’s sleep either way can make much more difference than it would normally.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | DAY 18 20th April 2006 Back, Traps, Biceps, Forearms (Overload week- 18 sets ALL to failure, including Rest Pauses) ADDITIONAL DAILY SUPPLEMENTS: 6g CEE 6g Citrulline Malate 10g Leucine BCAA’s (2 servings Xtend) SLEEP: Very good night’s sleep. Re-emergence of the sexual related dreams I had a few days ago, along with some very strange and particularly vivid dreams. The kind that make confuse me after I wake up, and make me double check things to see if it was a dream or not. Yeah, dreams were particularly vivid tonight- more so than in the past couple of days. Sleep again was uninterrupted and deep. I managed a good 9 hours sleep. STRENGTH: Being an overload week I was able to really go bananas with my lifts and really max out- which was awesome. All lifts were up and felt very comfortable too. Since my routine is a periodized program it’s a little difficult to separate strength changes from training and strength changes from any kind of supplementation. However, all of my lifts were up. I set PR’s in all of them- my deadlift being the one I am most proud of since it’s a goal I’ve been reaching for a few months now. Again, no burn or particular feeling of fatigue during a set, just a complete collapse once my body had had enough. RECOVERY: Bar one exception inter-set recovery was excellent. Even though I’m maxing out and using rest-pauses to push myself even further I’m really not really any fatigue. It’s literally a case of the my body giving way under the strain of the weights all of a sudden. The one exception was whilst deadlifting. For the first time since starting this log I had some serious back-pumps after each set which really caused me to drop my rate of action in the gym and rest longer than normal. I’m not particularly worried or anything, but it’s an interesting difference compared to how I’ve been feeling the rest of the session. Chest soreness is still surprisingly significant, but improving. Zero significant soreness in my tris, shoulders or anywhere in my legs- which is all good. I’m starting to think Jacob was right with his theory that the increased workout rate and decreased rest is a part of the increased soreness (it sounds so obvious as I say it!). It’ll be interesting to see how that translates next week when the volume decreases. AGRESSION: Nothing. ENDURANCE: Pretty good. As I keep reporting, I felt very easily recovered and bashing out the reps was pretty solid. I’ve probably said this before but on a week where all of my sets are to failure the extra endurance is really telling. The lack of burn or significant feeling of fatigue makes judging when I’m a rep or two shy of failure pretty difficult but when I can go all the way the extra reps are often pretty surprising. I’ll come as no surprise that the core compound lifts are the most significantly effected in this regard. LIBIDO: Again, first thing in the morning seen to be a time of particular perkiness. Other than that no change. ENERGY/FOCUS: In the gym my energy was pretty good. Not once since I started this log have I had that dreaded feeling of ‘I just need to |
