Default How would a boxer train and diet?

My friend got me into joining a boxing class with him so I went and now I'm liking it a lot. I'm going to be most likely a heavyweight so working out is going to be helping me with weight.

With weights, how should I be training? I'm thinking doing a Westside routine, but maybe Skinny Bastards since it's suitable for athletes. And my diet is my biggest concern. I'm going to be doing boxing work 3-5x a week and conditioning 5x a week, along with the workouts...So I know I need ALOT of food. I weigh 170 and have a bit of fat but with all the cardio, I think bulking is better. So I'm thinking eating around 7000 calories?? I know it'll be hard but I'll work for it. I'll be eating 1.5-2 grams per lb of weight for protein to spare the muscle, 6 grams per lb of weight for carbs for all the energy, and 170 grams of fats.

How tall are you bro? For boxing this helps to determine what weight class you should attempt to head towards. Also how old are you?

After that I will try to fill you in on boxing training with weights, at least im my experience. I have been doing it a while and all I have to say is don't burn yourself out. There is tons of upper body work fromt eh boxing training so it is easy to overdo it with the weights.

Also what body type do you have, ecto/meso etc. ? And how many years training?

I'd prolly do something along the lines of Westside. Something nice and power/velocity oriented.

I'm 6'1'', 14 years old, and a endo-meso. I think by 18 I'll grow to 6'3'' or around there. I've been lifting weights for about a year but with a real diet, a few months.
