| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Yeah, I am glad that Pennington got it. He went to Marshall. I am glad someone from my home school won.

He didn't play in the pro bowl because he injured his shoulder on December 30th last year in the last game of the season, and had to have surgery to repair it. The reason he is in New Orleans right now is because they were willing to take a gamble, and bet that he would be able to come back from the injury, while San Diago was not willing to pay him what he was worth. Dispite this off season surgery Brees improved his play.. 05 06 3576 yards 4418 +842 64.6 completion % 64.3 24 TD's 26 15 INT 11 2 more TD's and 4 less INTs 89.2 rating 96.2 +7 In the case of Brees his "comeback" is not as evident because his injury occured in the last game of the season. But he came back from an injury to his throwing shoulder that other QBs have not been able to come back and play effectivly from. and played his best year ever.. Pennington for the first time in his 7 years in the NFL started for every game of a season... He has played better than he did this year in the past.. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/187395

| New Member | Well deserved for Chad. I'm sure he must have gone through a lot of frustration and pain rehabbing and reinjuring for the last 2-4 years. And Brees had no shot, I think you need to either have a very BAD season or miss big part of it (if not all) to be considered for Comeback Player of the Year.

True... I think the only reason Brees didn't win is because of the timing of his injury. If he was injured earlier in the season last year, he would have been a clear winner.. Pennington is a good guy, and I am glad he won...
