At least there have been no talks of retirement this year. Based off his performances, there is no reason to.

I just think if Brett and the Packers were fortunate enough to even make it to another Superbowl that it's better to retire while you're on top rather than when you are not.

That's the ideal scenario anyway. We've seen to many of the greatest players in the history of the NFL cling to their careers far to long and then it just makes them look bad and it's kinda sad too.

Best examples are Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith.

I believe he's 37 y/o

Elway retired at 38 after his second of back to back Superbowl victories.

The perfect scenario and he was smart for retiring when he did.

Farves 38.. It shows him as being 37 on the NFL.com site, but if you go by his date of birth 10-10-69 he's 38 as of October 10th. Brett Favre

He should probably finish out the year, then stick around for one more year as a mentor to whoever they have step in next year. His knowlege of the game, and experience are a huge asset to keep in the locker room when developing a young QB. That would also ease him into retirment instead of just leaving the game all at once. Maybe he could even become a QB coach...

I hope the Packers beat the Cowboys.

I want Brett to face Brady in the Superbowl and beat his ass too.

The Cowboys got some breaks the last couple weeks.. They are playing extreemly well though.. I doubted Romo because of his performance the last 6 weeks of last season, but he has proved me wrong, and is one of the elite QBs in the NFL.

The breaks Dallas got were 1.) not having to face Sean Taylor RIP because his knee was injured Dallas played Washington, 2.) this week Woodson was out.. Both defensive playmakers..

Romo did a great job exploiting the secondaries minus these players, and Dallas may have still won the games if they played, but it would have definatly made things alot harder.

Many of Favre's receivers have not had a long career. Sharpe, Brooks, Chumura were all cut short due to injury. Favre like to throw into the middle of the field and I think that is why some of his receivers get hurt (big hits across the middle). Favre has never been very good at throwing a sideline pattern. Not many come to memory at all.

Freeman's performance dropped off after he became "lazy" after siging a big contract.

Donald Driver has been the one exception so far...knock on wood.

DT Corey Williams got franchise tagged and TE Bubba Franks got cut. Good to see that they didn't hand Williams position over to Justin Harrell before he earned it. Franks is slow and old. Not a big loss there IMO.

"What was your favorite defensive play in 2007?" Packers.com, the Official Web site of the Green Bay Packers.

I have to go with Barnett's Int against Rivers. Woodson's was just as good, if not better but Barnett's was in Green Bay is cool to see the crowd go crazy rather than a silent stadium (Kansas City).

Congrats to Woodson for being on the list twice.

On a sad note, anyone notice Corey Williams stripping the ball that lead to Woodson fumble return for a touchdown against the Redskins?

Bigby was on their twice as well. I see that his hit on Pollard, in the playoff game against the Seahawks, is leading by a large margin.

It is very impressive indeed. I just hope his replacement carries them as well as he did.
