Default Something I've noticed about low fat vs low carb cutting diets

For the first 60lbs of my fat loss I did a 40/40/20 style approach (and more of a 50/40/10 in the beginning) and all throughout this time when I had cravings for junk, it was for greasy fatty food. The fattiest greasiest food I could think of (meat lover pizza, pepperoni pizza, etc)

Then the past 4-5 months I've been on a low carb CKD and my cravings have COMPLETELY changed. Now the cravings I get are for SUGAR and bread. The sweetest sugariest crap imaginable (DONUTS, Fluff and Jelly, etc).

It's just sort of interesting how the body naturally wants to be in a state of equilibrium (spelling??). Your body will crave whatever it feels it's lacking the most.

Yah, I know what you mean. I'm only taking in trace carbs after dinner and I've been craving bread, sugar, etc. this time of the evening.

haha, try working in a bakery and being on CKD for 5 months At the end of the night I have to chant to myself "I hate donuts, I hate donuts, I hate donuts" but in the back of my mind I'm already planning my birthday binge in december.... a couple dozen donuts until i'm sick haha. (as long as it remains a fantasy it's all good).

On the low fat diet I would fantasize about pizzas and cheeseburgers....

I'm getting serious with my diet right now - I'm craving everything. Diet soda, bread, rice, oats, ice cream, burgers, nachos, pizza, cheese, chocolate, steak, chicken, lamb, pork, bacon, Nutella, nuts, fruit - everything except tuna. 1/3 of my protein comes from tuna. Coincidence? I think not....

sometimes il buy rice pudding on my first out of 3 days of low carb just to torture myself. dunno why lol. i often have greasy pizza on carb depletion days as well. UD2.0 pwns so much i can pull it off pretty easily

I don't know I don't really crave anything anymore. Sometimes I'd like to have some buffalo wings, but that's about it as far as cravings. Maybe I've just been on the same nutrition plan for so long that I just lost the cravings.

I've found that I have to force myself to do a carb up on the weekend. Even then, I've been limiting myself to one or two carb meals... a pasta meal on Saturday night, and a carb meal on Sunday morning.

I've pretty much lost my desire for all the things I had as treats before... brownies, carrot cake, chocolate cake, cheesecake. I go to the local diner/restaurant on the weekend and sit at the counter, with all these delectables right in my face, and they don't faze me anymore.

What's *sob* wrong *sob* wi- ith- ith- *sob* me?

The last time I 'flipped out' I ate 6 cupcakes and 4 donuts and I was SO SICK to my stomach that I literally layed in bed clutching my belly until I puked. Yet... I still want to eat a BOX of donuts.
