![]() Same thing I've been doing the last 4 weeks, currently carb cycling. I have one trick up my sleeve that I've been doing that won't be revealed till show day though. Haha.

| IronMass Donator | I'm needing some crash diet kinda shit to get me through to the end. This slow and steady thing doesn't seem to work out well for me. I need overtures of overkill to really see some progress. 40 days - 20 lbs would be nice. |

![]() Layne Norton is my prep coach, so I just follow his dietary guidance to the T and bust my ass in the gym. Everything is falling into place now and I'm gaining confidence that I can come in improved over last year with regards to both size and conditioning. The only bad thing is that I have a mid-term exam in my physiology class at 9 am the morning of the finals. You could safely lose 2-3 lbs per week for sure. But don't crash diet... WORK you butt off, literally. Cardio 2X a day, heavy lifting, combined with a carb cycling diet... that'll get 'er done. If you crash diet, you'll come into the finals flat and deflated looking. Work hard in the gym and diet sensibly... you still have time to make a big change.

Perhaps my verbage was off - I really just mean great last 5 week program - I'm thinking some strict ckd for the last 4.5 weeks. No carbs, lots of cardio. One carb up at the end of the second week and a SMALL carb up 2 days before pics. You'll be miserable, but you'll shrink like a wet sponge in the sun.

It totally sucks trying to study while contest prepping, my brain just fogs up more and more the leaner I get. Oh well, nobody said it was easy being pretty and smart.

If you haven't already, you should try some HIIT cardio. Don't get me wrong. I loathe cardio. But I did HIIT tonight and for some reason I, being an asthmatic and rather sedentary individual for the majority of my life, ENJOYED it. It was fun. It is also supposed to increase your metabolism for the next 24 hours. Just experiment a little, run/sprint around your backyard if you have no other way of doing it. Lift weights and get big in a good way. I come from a similar situation as you so I can relate kind of. I was 235 by the time I was 15. I dropped down to 175 in a year and have been lifting weights ever since. Right now I weigh about 195 and I don't really like it, so I'm starting to cut cals and cardio. Why? Because I like liking myself more than food. It's obvious that you do also. Accomplishment tastes better than cheesecake. I think we're a lot alike, and if you're like me then you just need a little motivation to start some things. ![]() So get the **** up and do it. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | Yeah I am doing much better. I am down about 3lbs since I wrote this thread, and I am going to the gym for the second time tonight. As for cheesecake.... you do not KNOW me and cheesecake. Cheese cake and mexican food are my loves in life.

3 blocks fat free cream cheese 1 cup of peanut butter 4 eggs 1/4 cup skim milk 4 scoops protein powder (any flavor that's not fruit) 1 cup of cooking splenda Mix together, pour into a pie pan sprayed with Pam, and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Not quite as good as the real deal, but it will suprise you just how good it is. Just limit yourself to 1/8th of the cake per day, don't eat the whole damn thing.
