The only problem with this is that it's only like a week into the semester and I'm already burnt out. I'm going to attend a yoga class tomorrow and see if it helps.
Damn I wish I could get to bed around 11 pm. I have so much work and I still have not met a lot of people around here so I try to spend time getting to know people. My sleep habits are definitely not optimal, in fact they are not good at all, but it's a choice I've made.

Heh, I'm already so burnt out from gym->school->work->homework that I fell asleep last night at 8:30pm, and felt like I was plastered to the bed come 7am. I think I definitely got enough sleep! But I'm sooooooooooooo stressed right now with all of the HOMEWORK omfg. Teacherz is killings teh skeloothers dis semesterings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went on a hike today though, so that was nice It's always a stress relief to go hiking with a bunch of hot college women :king: (Now I need to find a way to coerce them into my bedroom haha)

No yoga tonight... I honestly have no time... I've got a good 3 hours of homework ahead of me that I DON'T want to do.

I generally don't get to sleep until around 1:30-2 am because I'm doing work and I'm usually up by 7:30 for class. I can keep it up but I hate the lack of sleep, it plays hell on my results. But you do what you gotta do...

ooh yeah, since this is my fat loss log, by all means, let me ramble

All week long my diet has been spot on. I haven't been keeping a food log due to time management restraints, but I have a very good feel for what my diet should be (65/5/30). I've changed things up a little bit, and I am eating an extremely CLEAN CKD! The majority of all of my fats have been coming from olive oil, fish oil, flax meal, and walnuts. The majority of my protein has been coming from lean meats, and I have been eating plenty of broccoli and tossed salads.

Due to my diet being so clean, I've been shedding the retained water I was holding from last weekends 'surprise binge'... (I had lost all control 2 days in a row... embarassing enough that I haven't really posted about it). Basically I ate myself so sick that I don't want to eat junk anymore. I felt like I was going to die... lol.

So, I'm back down to about 196 to 197lbs this morning... which also means I'm going to hit 195 again soon... and that for some reason freaks my body out. This time I will survive it though, because... I'm going to do my carb up a little differently as well!

Shopping list for my carb up:
brussel sprouts
baby carrots
rice and beans
MAYBE a low fat tortilla for said rice and beans
oatmeal
and maybe I'll eat some cheerios.

Normally I have bagels on carb up day... but I'm on the fence about eating them... I don't want to eat ANYTHING that might make me lose control again. I'm scared to even put dextrose in my precarb up pwo shake... (usually take about 60g).

My strength has been faltering this week... initial burst of strength is the same, but lifting endurance has been dropping dramatically. Could be related to the fact I came off of creatine.

As for actual fat loss... I'm still fat by all fitness standards Since dropping the water weight my clothes are fitting MUCH nicer though.

Oh, and I need to cut back on caffiene.... seriously need to... it's becoming a serious addiction.... (ephedrine too... i've never been so hooked before)

Well how did you think new smilies were made? :hyper2:

For real though, stick around. This is a fantastic site... We want/need more quality members though! Besides, where else can you post along with IFBB pro Kendra Elias and Competitive Natural Bodybuilder Michael Elias?? I haven't posted with kendra personally, but Mike's great

And... I still do frequent bb.com but this site gets the majority of my attention. I promised I'd help and try to build up the fat loss board.

The smilies over here are one of the huge draws to this board. I seriously could spend hours just making stories out of the smilies...

Well, if you made them then why does the one on the bottom look bored?

I'll try to get over here more often.

:line:

Anyways, I gained two pounds total in the past like 2 weeks. BUT, my muscles are popping out all over the place - my tri's for sure, quads, and glutes all feel like they are growing - so i'm guessing it's muscle. I mean i've been eating super clean aside from that one day and that one other day. (hehe) so - yeah. Another issue i'm having is getting enough calories - this worries me a great deal in terms of fat loss. I feel like i'm eating enough but I know that last time I plateaued - which is what i'm calling this because i AM still gaining muscle - it was due to too little calories. If I was taking in too little, wouldn't I have this issue of losing muscle? My guess is i'm taking in 1500 k/cal a day. I haven't been tracking them lately only because I pretty much know what to eat and what not to eat, etc. And So if i'm trying to lose fat, gain muscle and eating a 40/40/20 - getting approximately 1500 calories (I switch things up from day to day - eat more on heavy lifting days, etc)- am 5'10" and weigh in at 163 - am I eating too little?

MsDominatus I think you are having too few cals, personally. How much cardio are you doing and do you tend to feel run down at any point of the day. I also have the same problem with getting enough calories, because I just don't have a huge appetite and I need to be getting around 4k cals a day just for maintenance and it's really tough to do that.

Skel- I'll start the diaries this afternoon or tonight depending on what I have going on tonight (hopefully a girl or two ).

Alright skel1, it's up by popular demand (well your demand is good enough).

I'll start it ASAP.

4000 cals? Jesus.

I do cardio 3-4 times a week. Some interval training on weight training days, cardio kickboxing once a week, some steady moderate state - on my days off of lifting - for like 45 minutes - climbing the hills on the elliptical at a level 15. I lift on a 3 day split so... I do take 1-2 rest days

I do get tired but I also have a very busy life between going to work, school two nights a week, being a mom, and being a devout gym member. I feel like i'm always eating too. I'm just not sure how to get more cals in. Nurtitionists that my friends have gone to have told them to go on diets of 900 cals if they aren't working out and 1200 if they are.. so thats where I started, then upped them as I went along.. so now i'm confused - I wish I could just hop on a machine that would tell me exactly what I need to be taking in because it seems like it's changing all the time.

I forgot to mention that from the tim eI leave for work (7:15) til the time I get home (6pm - traffic) I am sitting in either my car or at my desk. Two nights a week I am sitting in class for 3 hours in addition. I work out at night - but most of the DAY is spent sedentary so it's not like i'm super active other than the working out I do later on.

If I were you I'd try to get in 2000 cals a day with how active you are. Your friends' nutritionists are totally wrong. Play around with your cals and see what works best for you.

I need about 4k cals for maintenance because I bike for the school team about 6 days a week and I lift 4 times a week hard as hell. I definitely am not at maintenance right now, though.
