| Pro Stature | How many calories are you eating? You need to cut calories in general. If you are eating a lot of sugar then cut out those calories. And you can lose 75lbs or more if you want to. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 45 | I'd cut out all sugar for sure. With stuff like Diet soft drinks and Splenda there's no reason you should need to eat sugar as part as your daily plan.

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Cutting sugar seems to be an easy way for americans to reduce calories. You need to really restrict all calories. Try finding out how many calories you eat in a typical day and try to shave 500-1000 calories off of it. Go to the gym, do cardio and lift some weights.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 11 | Diet Coke and Coke Zero make a huge difference. That, and cardio. I went two weeks watching the diet, and dropped a heap of water weight - as soon as that slowed, I started the cardio. I'm down 16lb in just over three weeks, and the bulk of the weight loss seems to be me pissing, and dropping a bit over two inches from my waist. Bottom line - cut the diet down first, and after steady gains cease, start cardio. Don't hit them both at the same time if you're not used to it, because you drop far too much weight initially.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | Do a lot of nutrition research so you get the basics out of the way. It isn't quite as simple as just cutting sugars if you're still eating 2 pounds of bacon a day. Not that you do but just using that as an example. 300+ pounds is big so there are several factors to take in if you're also high in body fat. How old are you How tall are you What is your waist size How much exercise do you get Give an example of your average diet for a day

Recipes: 2 Rep Power: 96 | You'll need sugars for post-workout, you don't have to cut them back all the way, just lower it and replace sugar in other meals with vegetables. Also eat healthier in protein sources, fat sources, and carb sources. Go to t-nation.com and read up on John Berardi. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 200 | Sugars are empty calories and should be avoided at all costs if one is attempting to lose lots of bodyfat. I'm speaking of refined sugar.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | As someone who has lost approximately 100lbs and has kept it off, I have some very radical advice for people who are starting in a similiar situation i was in. Cut out all sugar (including fruit, but you can still eat dairy) and cut out all white flour, white rice, and bread (Even whole grain). Why? Because 99% chance says that you are not only eating too many of these high GI carbs, but you are ADDICTED to them as well. The key to your LONG TERM fat loss will be over coming your addiction to the things that have made you overweight to begin with. Good luck brother. The journey is difficult, possibley the hardest road you will ever take.... but the fruits at the end are bountiful and sweet.

I'll agree, flour is a no-no... but good bread (4:9 or something like it) is definately an option. I can see cutting out fruit. White rice is fine. Just nothing with a colorful lable/box, and consume it with a healthy fat and protein.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 28 | sugar is the devil ....especially to the endo folks. There is no need to create an insulin spike unless you are a athlete (not including bb or weight lifting more like a football player) Skel is on the right path since he did it ofcourse.
