Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | Time to switch things up a bit, because... well, I've somehow managed to regress and get fat again. diet: 2200-2500 calories per day 65/5/30 split (f/c/p, keto), carb up one day a week not to exceed 3500 calories and not to exceed 10% fat. Majority of fat coming from olive oil, fish oil, mayo, eggs, hard cheese, and walnuts. lifting: i'm thinking upper body lower body... monday upper, tues lower, thurs upper, fri lower Cardio: Dance dance revolution, sports, and walks outside ONLY... it's the only way I can stand cardio.... monday, wednes, thurs, sat sunday completely off. upper body will include two working sets each of 10-12x3: back, chest, shoulders, triceps, biceps lower body will include tons of squats, plus 3-4 working sets of calves, hamstrings, obliques, abs. I'm going to keep an amazing food log using software that I wrote....

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | High reps? What is this, a muscle mag? ![]() From personal experience I lost substantial muscle and strength when trying high reps while cutting. I'd recommend you try MAX-OT style lifting if you haven't yet. I'm not a fan of vegetable oils (as found in mayo) but since I doubt you'll be having meals consisting of mayo it shouldn't be a problem. So yeah, sounds good. Although you got the ratio mixed up, I think you meant 40/40/20. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | Oh good lord.... This is the complete antithesis of an EME diet and training plan. Well, you know I always wish you the best of luck brother Skel! - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | No he is not LOL I'm sure eating carbs can be a great part of a cutting plan, but eating carbs makes me hungry.... Keto makes you feel full all the time.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | Yeah, full of fat! How many amino acids are in a gram of fat again? LOL stonecoldtruth, nope I'm definitely not a fan of Ketogenic diets for bodybuilding. The only time I EVER want to see a bodybuilder in ketosis is during the last week before a show when we are setting up for a carb load. Ketogenic diets make you feel ( and look ) FLAT.... But....I was really just giving Skel a friendly hard time. He knows how I feel about keto and I'm just kidding him. I definitely wish him the best of luck with his new diet and routine. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | Yeah, it's fun to argue over nutrition with a personal trainer who ranks #1 on askmen.com ![]() Unfortunately I just have to go with what I feel will work for me right now. The natural appetite suppression of ketosis is VERY helpful for me. And when I'm eating low carb I 'feel' like i'm cutting. Hard to explain, but it's all in my head (like a lot of things hah)

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | I think it's actually going well so far. Today marks 7 days of no carbs, and I'm skipping the first carb up. (The only carbs I eat are salad and broccoli, and trace carbs but trace carbs have been very low). Typical diet has been 5 egg omelette with cheese for breakfast tuna with olive oil for lunch steak salad and olive oil for dinner crumbled cheese in a salad with olive oil before bed despite no carbs... my workouts have been fantastic.

To EME - Ketogenic diets, in my opinion (having lost nearly 100lbs so far) are probably the most efficient way FOR ME to lose fat while maintaining existing muscle mass. That being said, I'll be hitting you up come August for a 12 week plan to 'bring me in' for the IMPC. So we shall see how your methods work on me ![]()
