Ok.. then I don't know Skelly!

I have an idea, but I'm afraid you'll attack me for it..

Could it be time to try a different style of macronutrient ratio? Maybe something NOT ckd related?

I don't know that there's much of a way out of feeling hungry while you are in a caloric deficit. We are programmed to eat large quantities everytime we sit down to eat, until we feel full and satisfied... this is the satiety response. It was a way of ensuring survival back in cave times when food was limited... when it was available, you had to eat a huge amount. When you are cutting and eating small meals that don't fill you up, you never trigger the satiety response... you are always left wanting more. Even if you binge on salad or something that can fill your stomach but is not highly caloric, the salad is not going to satisfy you. Whereas, if someone were to eat pizza until they were stuffed, it would be at least 5-6 hours before they felt the urge to eat again.

True hunger is a sign that your body is actually starving and is indicated by having audible stomach rumblings and painful cramps. We've all been there, but this level of hunger usually doesn't occurr until you've gone several hours without eating at all. If what you are feeling is simply a lack of satiety, then you just feel like your appetite is never appeased. You constantly feel like you want to eat more. People have different thresholds to the satiety response and different foods trigger it more effectively than others. If I eat 4-5 slices of pizza, I'd be satisifed, while someone else might have to eat the whole damn thing, and others only 1-2 slices.

As long as I'm not doubled over with stomach cramps and constant rumblings, I just ignore the desire to shove food in my mouth and focus on the fact that if my body wants food and I'm not going to give it what it wants, it will get those calories it desires from somewhere else, hopefully from my back fat.

okay, here's an example of the 'late night insanity'

I ate about 200-250 calories worth of pork rhines
2 low carb tortillas (180 cals)
3oz of cheese 300 cals
and a bloop of sour cream 110 cals

That's damn near 800 calories, and I'm sitting here starving out of my mind..... and I ate that 35-40 minutes ago.

I hate this. I hate it BAD.

I have NO PROBLEMS with appetite during the day, but it gets worse and worse as the night goes on......

Have you considered taking a dedicated appetite supression?

what do you mean by dedicated?

The only appetite suppressants I know of that work are ephedrine, synephrine, and hoodia. Hoodia's the only one that is not a stimulant but it is expensive as all hell for some reason.

Synephrine works great, but gets wired sometimes.

I was thinking about going with straight Hoodia, yes. It wouldn't be that expensive if you were just using it later in the evening.

You COULD do NOW Hoodia which is 30 days for around $10.99.
You could also go Thermolife Zappetite which is 60 days worth for around $28.

The only appetite suppresant I thought really, truely worked was Trimspa. The only thing is, they want you to take 2 pills 3x daily for the first week, then cut back to 1 pill 3x daily. The 1 pill never really did it for me. It helped take the edge off, but didn't actually repress hunger. On 2 pills, I'd just skip the meal entirely (you take it about 30 mins before eating). As a fat burner it wasn't terrifically effective, but it did the job as an appetite suppressant.

It also sounds like distractions might be helpful to you. You have school, work, and ironmass, but maybe another hobby/social outlet might be helpful for you. Maybe you ought to kill two birds with one stone, and make some female friends. Or perhaps you could just masteurbate furiously, and burn some extra calories.

I agree, but I'd like to elaborate.

When I mentioned that Skel ought to chew more of his calores, I meant chewing food versus drinking shakes. So, not chew your food more, but eat more chewable food. I love slimfast first thing in the morning, because I don't normally eat breakfast. So, it at least makes me feel like I've eaten something, but it's easy on my stomach. But it doesn't have the physiological satisfaction of chewing and digesting, which is critical to your body's ability to reset the hunger cycle. This therefore allows you to consume less calories overall.

Chewing your food less will increase digestive time, but it can cause other difficulties. Certain grains/shells are undigestible, such as corn. These need to be broken open by the teeth so that it may be digested, if left intact, it may pass through the system unscathed. It also forces your body to use excessive acid, which can lead to acid reflux.

I am curious as to the difference in digestion time between well masticated food versus slightly gnawed food.

The reason that the app. suppression part of Trimspa worked is due to the 150mg of hoodia it has in it. Otherwise the product is rather worthless in my opinion, heh.

I think your masturbation idea wouldn't work for Skelly, he already whacks it 10x per day.

why do you have carb sources like tortillas when youre high in fat? id up the protein, down the carbs. IMO (and own experience) pretty difficult to lose weight when youre havin em carbs. although ive just seen you post about one meal, you might not be eating any other carbs, what do i know lol.... since youre CKD then id go really low fat on carb up days, high fat on low carb days. and how many grams of everything are you eating?
what kind of cardio do you do and how often?
have you considered oly lifts like power cleans (or squat cleans i believe are the ones I do, where I squat all the way down) or maybe some supersets for your fat loss?
sprints (HIIT style) are awesome too..
a trick I use to do when id randomly feel the hungers on my cut is eat crisp bread - no butter or ham, just plain dry crisp bread (16% fiber) or plain raw oats. that would fill me up until next meal with less than 100 cals.. it sounds absolutely gross, but when i get those hunger feelings (once or twice a week) this stuff tastes good

You ever try eating more calories earlier in the day? This might help with the late day hunger issues.
