Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | depends what type of carido your doing. I find hitting a punching bag non stop and fast paced is fun, and im getting in the lil bit of cardio i desire. Better then running on a tredmill i find.. damn i hate tredmills.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 54 | I've grown to enjoy cardio actually. I used to find it incredibly boring and tedious, but now even long sessions just seem to fly by. I just put on the music and focus on making myself sweat. If I'm not dripping all over the machine at the end of the session, it wasn't a good one. I am going to continue to do a couple of days a week of cardio even when bulking from now on to keep my endurance maintained and help stave off fat gain. One reason people hate cardio so much is that they stop doing it for months at a time, lose all their endurance, and then go back to it and it feels like torture.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 38 | I have to agree with Madman. I personally love cardio in the morning. I used to hate it so much but after awhile your endurance goes up, your confidence goes up and bam it becomes enjoyable. I actually am addicted to running and that is one of my major downfalls to getting big. I will limit my cardio after IMPC but I doubt I stop. I am actually thinking of running some more races.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | Now I *KNOW* you are being trained by EME, cos you're starting to sound like him haha. I'm still in the camp of people that says it's genetic if you like cardio or not. Some people just don't get the "runners high"

Now, back onto the topic. I don't particularly enjoy cardio either, but know it's a must for me. I prefer mornings simply because in the afternoons and evenings the gym is too blasted crowded. You have to wait a half hour for a treadmill and 15 minutes into your cardio you have some smart aleck alternating between looking at you and then their watch to make sure you don't exceed your alloted time. I much prefer the relative emptiness of the gym in the morning. Plus, I am just more energetic in the mornings. | |

| Amateur | What's really awful is waking up, when it's pitch black outside, 25 degrees and going to the gym. That kills you! Morning cardio > no exercise ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 37 | I was thinking about incorporating morning cardio, just light elliptical work for 30 minutes or so in a fasted state. Anyone have similar experience?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | I MUST do cardio in the mornings. In the morning, i'm not awake enough to realize how much I hate cardio. 0500 + Stepmill + speed metal = wakeup! I cannot, under any circumstances, lift early in the day though, anytime before lunch, actually. I need a few meals in me, and I need time to wake up. I'm an old man, my body wakes up slowly. ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 37 | Do you have a pre morning cardio nutrition? Do you just take some EAA's and BCAA's prior to cardio?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 37 | Well of course it doesn't have to. This is a very debatable subject though, which is better cardio in the morning in a fasted state, or cardio in the afternoon after feeding? Of course it all depends on your intensity and heart rate at which your doing your cardio too.
