wow i have set very quietly reading this thread and bitting my tongue so bad as not to reply to anything in this thread as i see it as a huge ass train wreck!
first off.... JAYHAWKK! I commend you on your well thought out intelligent responses and they are exactly in line with what i wanted to say, its not your fault that they fell on deaf ears, you did great bro!
next.... skelooth your so obsessed with this atkins type diet, but i must ask you has it really been that great for you, you are here complaining about your fat you still have right, well doesn't sound like the no carb approach is working wonders or anything for ya bro, so maybe it time to try a different approach to things, hell i always bought into that shit that i was carb sensitive and got with a great nutritionalist that proved me dead wrong... its all about what type of carbs you eat and when you eat them bro, and i'll give you another lil tip try taking in 2 times your weight in protein and watch how much weight you loose bro! its freaking amazing, and taking in carbs only at breakfast and post workout, and make up the rest of the cals from good essential fats, if that doesn't work for you then either 1. you aren't putting in the effort in the gym, and cardio or 2. if you are doing one and it doesn't work for you then i will eat a monkeys ass! this stuff isn't rocket science bro, its really quite simple, now getting down to sub 4 or 3 % bodyfat is another story...LOL
my food list... and i eat the same shit every day,, but i eat waaaayyy more than you skelooth so my grocery bill is about 200 dollars a week, but for you it will be cheap as hell as you don't eat as much as me and two your also not feeding a wife and 2 kids
oatmeal
brown rice
chicken breast
lean ground beef
tuna
eggs... 1 yolk to every 3 eggs o and natural peanut butter.
and thats it i eat the same shit pretty much day in and day out i just eat a hell a lot of it...LOL
supps!
protein powder
carbo gain and gatorade powder (for post workout shake)
multi vitamin
and thats pretty much it as a staple of what i always buy, i may buy some fish oil, or creatine or zma but mostly the above stuff.

To be honest, I really am going to take a new approach to the whole situation.

I think the reason why I did so well on keto the first time wasn't because of "keto" but because I was following a specified meal plan each day, keeping a food log, and I knew EXACTLY what I was eating and when. If you've caught wind of my other thread about taking some time off I've already mentioned a bit of it. When I come back I want to have a set meal plan in stone, probably of a carb cycling flavor... and I want to go heavier on the cardio. In fact I think I want to make the majority cardio. I'm thinking something like cardio mornings 5x a week and lifting evenings 3x a week. With my diet consisting of something like what you wrote above bboy. Aside from tuna. Good god I am so sick of tuna. lol.

It's not that the advice is falling on deaf ears. It's that I have a big ego and thick skull. I tend to not do anything unless I've convinced myself that it was my own idea. Which in many ways is a good thing imo.

ok skelooth well since i have your ears open for a moment how about trying maybe a DC workout with the two day split which will have you in the gym on mon, wed. and fri. and start with cardio 30 min LOW INTENSITY on your off days of tue thur. saturday and maybe sunday(optional) first thing in the morning LOW INTENSITY cardio, as diet is the most important thing in loosing the weight, cardio really just lets you take in more cals while doing it! in loose speaking.
when your ready to go balls to the wall and get ultra serious im here to help any way i can and its all free from me bro! just for being an ironmass member..LOL i will help this board in anyway i can whenever i can, all you need to do is ask!

I think it'd be cool if you just threw in some extra hours at work instead of spending the time to make a meal plan. Then got the 12 week plan from Michael Elias for $99. After seeing Madman you can't really go wrong.

i just read this thread through.... i have to nominate Jayhawwk for gold status. This thread has shown some rediculous dedication to others and clear knowledge of many nutritional ideas/concepts/theories.
