Default I need someone knowledgable on TCDs

i wanna take up one of these, i've read about them and it seems the only possible way for me to one would be to have a half a day just protein and fats, and the other half normal..

but the thing is, i wouldn't be able to do it the way they suggest by doing first half carbs and second half no carbs. dinner is the only meal my family eats together and its always rice, chapatis, or other forms of complex carbs. so i would only be able to have the first half of the day no carbs and the second half with carbs

would this still be effective at all..?\

thanks

well, from what I understand, it won't be AS effective, but it will still work. The key is having your carbs timed around your workout (that is when carbs are needed for energy and anticatabolic/anabolic effect). If you decided to workout at night, you'll be okay, but I would still reccomend doing carbs in the morning: sleep is a long period of starvation... carbs will help you jump into anabolism/anti-catabolism for breakfast. This is my isssue with ketogenic diets in general. IMO, carbs are a Necessity at 2 times in the day REGARDLESS. These two areas are for breakfast AND around the training or workout time. So wouldn't it makes sense, especially in your case with the TCD or TKD (whatever you want to call it), to put the two next to one another so it works?

If you are going to take things seriosly, there is a realization you must come to (most of us already have): eating in the same patterns as others is not the most effective means for the results you want. It is okay to have a family dinner, but just cook your own food. You can have an appetizing chicken breast omlete with chease and veggies while the rest of the fam has their starch. It is okay. If they bother you, explain to them what you are doing.

Don't forget your multi

Ask skel. He'll agree with me i'm sure.
