Default help

a few questions

should i focus mainly on cardio instead on lifting weights?
(i weigh 319)

how much weight could i lose by june or july?

how long does it usually take to see results for yourself?
(others say they see them but i dont)

how should i stay motivated?

i have been doing good for the past three month i went from 330 to 319 but im stuck what should i do?

what should i do to see max results by june or july?

how long should i do cardio?

i dont have alot of fat on my arms or legs it just around the stomach area that where all my weight goes?

Focus on both of them equally.

Depends how good your diet/training is. It's hard to say, you just gotta go for it.

Taking progress pics once a month is a great tool to track progress. You can post them up beside each other and hopefully notice progress each month.

Stay motivated by watching inspirational movies, looking at pictures, or the best way to stay motivated, track your progress!

You gotta post your diet and training up bro.

It depends on the type of cardio and your endurance. What is your cardio currently like?

It's alright, it will probably be the last place you lost it too. Guys tend to store their fat around their abdominal region anyways.

I could write about 100 pages on these questions... and that would be a bried overview. Do some research on the site. Make a diet for yourself, don't listen to the mass media or fads for any information. It is almost all incorrect.

Generally, I would keep cardio to NO MORE THAN 30 minutes 3X weekly. You're a bid dude... let's keep it that way. You don't have as much fat on you as you have lean mass. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT! You are shedding down to the beast within. Keep it slow, keep in HERE, and keep us all updated so we can help.

Remember the more muscle you have the faster you can burn cals and fat! So stay focused and do both with equal vigor! Diet is key and you really need to write out a concrete plan that you can easily follow and stick with. If you leave your meals to chance you will certainly go off track. Go into the nutrition section and read the stickys. Once you have a basic understanding of how you need to eat we'll help you fine tune it for your needs.

Eat often and eat healthy. Look at saturated fats and high glycemic carbs and stay away from both. Eat a good amount of vegis and fruits and grains etc. Lift weights and do cardio but don't go overboard on neither. You're starting off and don't want to burn out before the goal has been met. Cardio should be 30-45 minutes and at a slow to moderate pace.

Drink lots of water. At least a gallon a day. Stay away from sugary packed foods and liquids. Don't go by the scale but go by a tape measure or better yet how you feel and look in the mirror.

I started at 350 about 7 months ago. I am now down to 315. I hated cardo but I do it three times a week. I got stuck as well I changed up my routine and I switched up my diet. I am a diabetic so I got to watch my surgar intake. I went to a low gi diet and then for a bit I went to a very very low carb diet. Now the low gi diet is my lifestyle helpes keep the surgar levels in tact. These switiches seemed to do the trick. MY focus is the rest of my life. I dont want to be a frail old guy for my kids. I want to be that dad that is and does everything.
Good Luck and Let me know your progress

You can only lose as much as weight as you push yourself for.

I dont really have any tips seeing as how everyone has already said what needs to be said, But i do wish you the best of luck! I had the opposite problem, i weighed 132 when i started and wanted to get bigger! lol. Im now 217 because of dedication. All i have to say is no matter what stick with it, it WILL pay off in the end, and it is well worth it! I wish you the best of luck, and look forward to hearing updates of your progress! Happy training
