Nope, I grew up on a farm and the way those animals are treated isn't the way that I treated animals on our farm. My old man would have kicked my ass in a heartbeat. Here was my routine from the time I was 10 years old. Up at 4 am, check my traps, skin out anything I caught, feed and water the critters and then shower for school. I also fed and watered in the afternoon after school as well. There's absolutely no excuse for that type of abuse and the perps should be flogged in the town square for that!!

It is sad... and i dont agree with the way they are abused and i believe it should be stopped, but this will not stop me from eating meat or drinking milk. This abuse is unacceptable but how much more abusive can you get than ultimately ending up on someones dinner plate... Abusing anything is wrong... but no... this wont stop me from eating meat.

It's Peta, they have zero credability with me. 2 faced ... ugh, insert a few curse words.

They spend less than 2% of their yearly budget on actually helping animals, it goes towards propaganda and putting money into the exec's pockets and their corporate headquarters.

It's a shame what is happening to those animals but they way they go around propagating it is total B.S. if you ask me.

I'm with ya there josh, this video won't stop be from eating meat. This is the same thing the government does to marijuana (not to bring that up) but its all propaganda. Let these people live in their own lies.

I didn't watch the vid. I've seen those types of messages before and I know it will gross me out.

While those messages haven't prevented me from eating meat, it did prompt me to seek out those manufacturers and farmers that use more humane and organic farming methods. Yes, I will end of paying a few bucks more, but I feel it is worth it. Like Thing said, there are farming methods that don't abuse the animals. It's up to us to seek out and patronize those companies.

I have been lacto-ovo veggie in the past. I did it for health and finance reasons. When I started adding back chicken, I made sure to look for products marked as free-range and hormone-free. Not much, but it's a start.

I've never really paid attention to PETA. I do my own thing as it fits my life.

Agreed. I won't stop eating meat, but I will most definetely not buy products from abusers.

I know those videos are meant to freak people out (from PETA not you MOP), but the fact is people just want a cheap source of good tasting food. When I can get a lb. of meat for the same price as a pound of orange peppers what do you think I'm going to choose. Hell, put all the animals in spa like conditions and pamper the hell out of them and then charge $2 per pound more and see who buys what. Just think how many millions of pounds of meat the restaurant business buys, and how they try to keep their prices competitive.

All it comes down to basically is what's more important to you: your body and your money, or some chicken/pig/cow somewhere. If you feel that guilty, save all the extra money that you would be spending on the more expensive eggs/meat and put it in a jar. Then every couple of months take half that money and donate to a worthy cause of your choice and take the other half and splurge on something for yourself. If you look hard enough there's a down side to every single thing that we buy and you'll just drive yourself nuts if you obsess over all those things. If you really want ease some egg/meat guilt take the money you save on eggs/meat put it toward sponsoring a child in a third world country. Now would you rather save a chicken/pig/cow from being uncomfortable or make sure a living human has clothes, food, and gets educated? See, it all depends on your perspective of what making a difference really means. I'm not being preachy here I'm just trying to widen the focus of the big picture.
