For me nothing beats red meat.. Alot of steaks, and lean hamberg. Eggs are also gold, but I don't drink as much milk as I used to..

i love beef, red meat is awesome. Eggs, real whole eggs, are amazing.

my plan is to eat a ratio of 2:1 beef to chicken over the summer instead of tons of chicken.

Red meat has teh steroid creatine in it, and eggs have all those hormones and antibiotics -- milks got teh bHGH too... so essentially you're a juicer... lol...

j/k - tho that's what some out there would have you believe are the evils of eating good foods for your sport. (Well... j/k about the 'juicer' part, the rest has some element of truth.

Default Post your favorite red meat

Now that we've established how good red meat is. What's the best cut?

My favorites are...

96% Lean Ground Beef

A lean cut of Tri-Tip or T-Bone (either can range from 5-10g of fat per 25g of protein)

or, if $$ is of no concern.... Filet Mignon.... lean and very tasty

Leanest = Top round, but it is not tender, or all that tasty without seasoning.

Best tasting, and most tender = Filet Mignon

I am a big fan of sirloin, tender, tasty, not overly fatty and one of the cheaper cuts.

This is probably a little more cooked then I usualy have it... lol.. we eat it almost raw in my house.

Just realized I didn't post my fav.

Top Round with a ton of mushrooms. I really like the lean ground beef too, but I almost always end up putting lots of cheese on it which kinda defeats the whole "lean" idea.

LOL. I had to scroll down cause bubbas avi is way too distracting.

NY strip or sirloin.

of course, a good mignon will take the cake though.
