Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I'm about to cut using the Game Over Diet book that someone posted a link to. Anyways, I was just wondering if it made a difference in how I prepare my vegtables. It says to steam them, but to be honest I like to eat frozen vegtables the best. Plus I will get some additional water from frost lol. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I like to steam veggies & add some olive / enova / canola oil to get in healthy fat requirements. If you're getting your fat elsewhere, you're fine!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 114 | new studies come out every year for both sides of this argument. Fortunate: it's primarily for micronutrients where this would make a difference... and frankly, i don't know anyone who eats their veggies to increase their daily intake of folate... we eat it for fiber and overall GI health, and that does not change significantly with cooking. I'm not disagreeing with you... in fact, i think I'd tend to agree some micros are lost in high heat... but we all take our multi's... so it matters little.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 200 | I always throw my frozen veggies into the microwave. Canned veggies are terrible, imo.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 114 | true, but much less expensive, and use less energy to store (earth friendly). I can't argue though, fresh, or even frozen veggies rein supreme.
