| IMPC Contestant | Don't worry about the tuna in mercury. Just buy white, and not albacore. You can buy canned chicken, i know that for sure.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 116 | Tuna, Canned Chicken, beef jerky, and SLIMFAST! jk Try the pouches of fish. Even more convinient. Kinda pricy. I would imagine most camping trips will include a good deal of protien anyway. BBQ foods. Pack some whey too.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 58 | One or two cans of albacore per week are ok, unless you are pregnant. Of course, chunk tuna is safer. Canned salmon is a good source of good fats and protein. As mentioned the fish in foil pouches are good too. Hearty soups with meat and vegetables are good meals. Take along dry brown rice and beans. Together these make complete protein.Have fun. (chopped slugs or snails don't taste too bad if you get tired of canned food. Take tobasco sauce and garlic to spice up any survival foods.) ![]() *

If it was me I'd bring tuna, I have it every day anyway and it's easy to bring along. And nuts are a good source of healthy fat and protein. :eat:

It is the white tuna with the highest levels of murcury... Chunk light is the lowest concentraition... But if I was you I would take a ride every other day to the local butcher shop, and buy a few lbs of chicken breasts, and some ice..... 1 lb of chicken breast is 144 grams of protein...

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I have a lot of camping type meals I have made over the years but they all involve high fats and carbs and apparently you want to stay away from them. Eat boy eat! I like making canned chicken and ramen noodles. I also like Beef stroganoff on the hot fire by getting about 1 pound stewed meat (pre cut), 1 bag of egg noodles, and 2 packages of brown gravey. That will fill you up good. Eggs and bacon are easy to make camping also... just the thing about cooking is that you have to take the kitchenware and some people don't want to waste time. IN that case, you can get canned roast beef in gravy that tastes pretty good. Chicken, tuna are good too. Chunky soup now makes a kick ass roadhouse chili in a small container... if you can heat it up somehow it would be good. Something like 25 or 30 grams of protein per small container. Nuts are good but the salt can dry you out quick.Granola bars aren't bad for you, although there is a small amount of protein.
