yay for naps.... i actually have a large past meal (80g carbs and 50g Protein) right before I sleep. I rest for an hour or so, then wake up and lift. It has been great for my energy in the gym.

bump on the naps. I take one right after my lunch for about 30-45 minutes. Really helps out in the gym i think.

Man, I wish I could fall asleep fast enough to do that. My 90min naps are really only about 60min because it takes me 30min to fall asleep.

Here's to the 20 minute powernap. Any longer than that and I wake up feeling groggy and have trouble falling asleep at night.

20 mins does the trick for me.

This is probably a daft question but is 3 hours during the day and 5 hours at night as good as 8 straight hours? I looove to sleep during the day but have problems at night oh well time to take the ZMA...(edit: which works wonders)

That's exactly what I do. It's not as good as 8 straight but it is better then only getting 5. Take it where you can I say.

you know i eat 5 to 6 small meals a day and i was just wondering if you are supposed to re eat your morning meals if you took a nap in the after noon.you are suppose to drink protein as soon as you wake up from fasting when you sleep at night so does that apply to you if just woke up from a nap?

Same here for the most part, although I eventually get to the point where if I'm not doing something active I fall asleep. Fulltime school + fulltime work =

Sleeping for 60 minutes compared to sleeping for 480 minutes shouldnt have the same effect in terms of lack of food. After 60 mins, there should still be nutrients circulating from the previous meal, so just stick to your normal eating schedule.
