Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 41 | Who here uses soy protein products or just eat foods with soy protein, like soy beans? I've read a lot of benifits to them, contrary to the believe that they are a "womans" thing. I'm thinking of getting a soy protein powder in the future.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 309 | It does have benifits but I wouldn't make it my primary protein source. I have a bit of soy protein in my Kashi Go Lean but that's it. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 41 | I've read that is just a myth. It's molecular structure is similar to that of estrogen, but is actually not related. I was thinking of buying soy protein powder and using it, but realised how much more expensive it is than whey. Is there a reason why?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | I've heard that its actually an estrogen mimic and will fill receptors so real estrogen can not act. Amino acid profile isn't that great though. Consume with wheat because the protein in wheat balances the amino's quite well. Whey is still king though.

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I use to take it some before the whole isolate movement came in. I have problems with lactose and soy did me well. It tasted too much like nuts though.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 162 | I eat soynut butter (pb made out of soy nuts) it's delicious and has a lot of protein. I also snack on roasted soy. Soy is the perfect keto food as far as I'm concerned. I don't eat it for the health benefits, I eat it because it's an easy way to supplement my protein intake alongside the healthy fats, as well as plain tasting good.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | ok for a snack but is terrible for a for bblding. i wouldnt make it a main source of protien (anadotal evidence has told us stay away better sources out there) many people say/believe that it has a bad influence on your test level too. i tried it for a while and wasnt happy (vegitarian girlfriend at the time) seemed to be tired too. not so sure about that.soy protien is the fastest absorbing protein out there it's absorbed alomst as quickly as a whey. keep in mind its BV is only 83 compared with whey whichs has 104. BV = biological value the higher, the better the protein (more essential aminos) several health bennies i often get tofu and veggie soup or soy chips, but i would NEVER but the powder protien of soy. |
