Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 41 | That cereal looks great. But right now I only have shredded wheat as a cereal option. I always take the shredded wheat with skim milk though, just to ensure adequate protien and add on a complete amino acid profile. Meal 1 is when I eat shredded wheat, and the meal is like this: -30g Dyamatize Elite Whey -90g Shredded Wheat -500ml Skim Milk -2 cups Green Tea

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | I know several competitors who eat plain shredded wheat bisquits either at breakfast, or during the day as a complex carb source, even during contest prep. ( make sure you don't get the Frosted kind ) Shredded wheat bisquits are easy to trasport and quick to eat which makes them easy to fit into any plan. ( Although, they are a bit dry ) I like them during bulking periods with skim milk and splenda. As DF said, shredded wheat isn't high in protein, but I actually prefer my foods to be as simple as possible. In other words.. it's just fine with me if one food is high in complex carbs but low in fat and protein..... sweet potatoes, rice, etc.. And one food is high in protein, but low in fat and carbs.... chicken, egg whites, etc... You just need to include a protein source too. Shredded wheat and good high protein shake would be a good bodybuilding meal alomst any time of the day! - EME Quote:
