Default Quick Red Meat Question

Call me stupid, but is it okay to have a hamburger patty with my cottage cheese before bed?

I regularly eat some kind of sirloin before bed. Is there anything wrong with hamburger? I know it is highly processed, but I don't see how it could be much worse than a quality cut of meat. Its fat content is higher, but saturated fat doesn't scare me. In fact, I find my test and sex drive is WAY better with a couple servings of red meat in my diet.

Ground beef (hamburger) is just beef put through a grinder. There should be no processing and no additives in it. You can buy it with various levels of fat in it. (75% lean, 80% lean, 90% lean, 95% lean.) I buy 75% lean and then cook it on the grill. The fat drips out of the burgers and causes it to become charbroiled from the flames. It is probably down to 90% lean when I am finished cooking it. If you start out with a lean burger on the grill, the fat will cook out and you won't have a juicy burger.

Enjoy your burger before bed.

As long as its lean you should be fine, keep in mind too red meat takes longer to digest then lets say cottage cheese so if it interfers with your sleep you may want to switch to something else. Otherwise go for it
