Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Hello, I have been reading the post workout nutrition article and I cannot figure out what powerman means by this: "Mix (using the same 200 lb. male on a bulk example) 100 grams of a combination of 50% of your carbs coming from Dextrose and 50 % of your carbs coming from Maltodextrin with," I get the 200 pound thing, but I don't get what I mix. Does this mean that I have to buy more supplements with dextrose and maltodextrin???? I don't even know what those are!!!!!! Can someone please dumb it down 500%? Thanks for any help!!! |

I've tried looking all over locally for them and didn't find it anywhere. You may see dextrose listed under the name of corn sugar or brewers sugar (as in for making beer), so if you find that at a store it's dextrose.

you are going to get a lot of opinions on whether or not to use simple carbs PWO. Some believe sugars are ideal of recovery, while others believe all they do is cause excess fat to be stored. Everyone is different, and the only way to find out for yourself is to try both methods. Personally, I do a small simple carbs shake (20 grams of dextrose and 15 grams of protein powder), and follow it 25 minutes later with a full meal (generally rice or pasta with chicken or turkey. Don't forget your multi, ESPECIALLY PWO!!!
