Milk Eggs Porridge Oats Lean Beef Mince/Steak (shop around; Asda do some good deals) All Natural Peanut Butter (not the regular commercial ones you see in most shops) Buy bags of frozen chicken breasts and green veggies (you can usually get them at a reasonable price) Wholewheat Pasta and/or Brown Rice Olive Oil and or Cod Liver/Misc Fish oils I'm hoping that since you're a student, you're not spending too much money on beer ![]() cals is how many calories you are taking in each day in the food you eat and c/p/f refers to carbohydrates/protein/fat in a ratio form.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | i know supplements "SEEM" expensive, but in reality, whey protein is the cheapest form of protein per gram... especially after you consider the ranking on the BV. The best way for you to gain weight is to eat a ton of kcals. Because ur metabolism is so high, you are allowed to eat some of the CHEAPER cuts of meat. Ground chuck and 70% lean meats, which might normally be off limits to most, are eatable in your situation. These are WAY cheaper than chicken breast. Pork and beef are much cheaper than poultry. Also, large bags of parboiled rice do not cost much at all. It is calorie dense, easy to make, and fibrous. All you need to do is eat 3/4 cup (dry) of rice + 8ounces of 70% lean beef 5X daily.... that should be about 750kcals/meal... leaving you about 4100 kcals total. Easy ay?

What exactly is ground chuck i've never heard of that, and i see americans saying 3/4 cup etc as a measurment, we don't use that in the UK so what's equivilent to 1 cup in ml or something? And you're right about the high metabolism, i used to eat like 3 McDonalds + crisps and other crap / day and not gain any weight O_O. Anyway I'll try follow everyones advice and post pictures in a couple of months ![]() edit: "especially after you consider the ranking on the BV" what's BV? and also what are kcals?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | kcals= calories BV= biological value: a scale from 1-100 ranking proteins on quality of profile and ability to be absorbed in the body. Whey=110, egg=100, animal meats=85, casein= 78, soy=68 etc. As for the diet, thats looks like a weightloss diet to me. You have to understand that many of us on this sight are eating in excess of 3500 or 4000calories/day. During the in season (and i'm NOT a hardgainer) I eat roughly 4500 kcals. You should aim for At LEAST 3700-4200. If want to get big, u have to EAT big. The diet u posted is good... just add a few burgers.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Some things this summer that's been working great for me is a lot of peanut butter and a tonn of cottage cheese. I go through jars of those like crazy. They're also a great way to get cals/protein quickly, with hardly filling you up. I also take Muscle milk and whey. Good luck man. |
