Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | Alright. Here is my pre-meet protocal as it applies to nutrient intake. 5 days out: -Increase water intake to 2gallons/day -Decrease sodium intake (mrs. dash only, no dairy) 3 days out -Remove all WHOLE protein sources from my diet (beef, turkey, chicken). Replace it with whey, casein, BCAA. -Decrease overall protein intake to 150g/day -Increase carbohydrate intake by 50g. -Increase fat intake by 10g 1 day out -Decrease total protein intake to 80g -Increase BCAA intake X4 -Increase CHO intake by another 50g -Increase fat intake by 30g Can't be sure what i'm doing from there. The official meet scale will be open the night before. If i'm more than 3lbs underweight, I will be eating the margin in extra carbs the night before (syrup or something). The next morning will be super calorie dense foods to meet my exact scale weight. I will come in right on the number. After weigh ins, I will be consuming 1 gallon of water with 50g dextrose, CEE, Arginine and BCAA. Also, three (3) white bread, bannana, PB and flluf sanwhiches. Lifting time.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 15 | DJ best of luck big man, one thing I will say is I would talk with Marc from Scivation on his pre-comp the guy looked amazing and he kept whole protein sources mainly fish in his diet. Just something if you are interested in doing. J

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | thanks jay it's a powerlifting meet. I could look like shit, but if i'm strong thats all that matters. That's why i'm amping the crap out of energy macros, and taking down the overall weight of my bowls by cutting out the whole protein.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 199 | I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to make such significant changes to one's normal PL type of diet just days before a meet. It might freak your body out and that might result in diminished performance. The only thing I ever did was to increase my water intake. Let us know how that works out for you DJ and best of luck to you.

thanks Pman. after weighing myself in the past few mornings, i've decided to stray from a change. I will still be increasing my total CHO and fat intake (more calories), and keep moderate amounts of protein in my diet as well. i'm weighing in at about 176.5 in the morning. this puts me about 5lbs under.
