Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 18 | Yes, you can. Men especially lose lactase (the enzyme that digests lactose) as they age. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 2 | yes, you can develop and lose lactose intolerance again and again. I was never lactose intolerant. A month ago I suddenly started getting horrible gas, bloating, and stomach cramps from any dairy. It went when I cut dairy. Came back when I re-introduced it. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | A change in the gi bacteria not the addition of lactase accounts for the ability to adapt to milk products. Try this: increase your intake over time, drink milk with other foods, spread intake throughout the day.
