Talking Jiza's top secret oats recipe (post workout)

Ok, this recipe has arrived after long trials, here it is....

1) Get a cup, and fill it half way with oats (whatever type you have)
2) Fill the cup with cold water just under the top of the oats, so they are all wet.
3) Place a teaspoon of honey ontop of the oats
4) Microwave for 15-20 seconds on high
5) Get spoon and mix in the oats and honey
6) Get spoon and eat out of cup

There you have it, quick easy and some good carbs post workout, try it out and tell me if you like it :fingersxd I have this in conjunction with a Protein shake, and banana.

Am I the only one that can't eat cooked oats? I have 3-5 spoonfuls and I get so full I can't eat anything else. Other than that I have a highly unsurpressable appetite, I have no problem eating loads of food...

and while we're at it,

Davtown's PostWO Shake of Champions:

80g Rolled Oats (ground to a powder in a coffee grinder)
20g Dextrose
50g Chocolate Whey

Put it all in a shaker cup with however much water you want and mix it up... it's delicious!

for you people that don't use digital kitchen scales, 80g rolled oats is "1 cup" (now go get a digital kitchen scale )

Also, I use organic rolled oats from the bulk section of Whole Foods which have a natural sweetness to them... just makes the shake taste that much better (bulk oats from WF are cheaper than the cylinders too)

Yeah I know about that, I eat a cup at a time but am just getting sick of them not from the taste but from having it so much.

Jiza's secret recipe is going to change all that.

I usually just cook a cup of oats in water because I've learned to not care about taste, but occassionally I put cinnamon and a little sugar free syrup in it.

I used brown sugar and honey sometimes. My favorite is adding jelly/jam to the mixture. *drools*

Your microwave must be extreemly powerful. Oats in mine take 1minute 35 seconds..

Post workout you want a kind of carb that will cause your insulin to spike. (dextrose is the best, and cheapest source for this) Oats are poor at it because of the low glecemic index, and honey is the worst sugar to do it as well.

I think for pre workout it would be great.. Oats are always in my pre workout meal.. I eat a big serving 45 minutes prior to lifting. The slow burning carbs are great for getting you through your workouts...

No, for real, it ballances the taste of the brown sugar if you use just a little salt. The store bought ones do the same thing, but the sugar content is way too high.
