Default If You Had To Choose A P/C Ratio For Cutting...

What would it be... 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 etc and why?

P.s. This doesn't include fat so please don't give opinions on p/c/f ratios.

When cutting I start with a ratio of about 60/40 Protein to Carbs...

Then cut a little closer to 65/35 and finally down 70/30 if needed as I drop my calories and the contest approaches.

However, 1 day per week ( 2 early in the cutting process ) I'll have a day where bump it up to about 50/50 and increase my total calories substantially.

He seemed to be just asking about the ratio of Protein, as compared to Carbs..

Not... Protein and Carbs as percentages of total Macro Nutrient intake, which would also include fats.

I like a lot of protein usually to 2.3g per lb. of body weight (don't suggest) and 1-1.2 grams per lb. of body weight for carbohydrates. Fats I always keep the same, 6g of fish oils and as many healthy fats as possible. Usually in the range of 100g.

I would go for 60/40 because I get the best results from taking more protein than carbs.

Lol.... I need to start thinking outside the box. But i feel looking at carbs to protein, one should look at general "Energy" to protein. Energy including fat (9) and carbs (4).
