i just thought it was interesting someone had the balls to at least look at both sides with a SOMEWHAT fair eye. I'm beginning to believe (through experience) that eating 4 large meals(750-800) /day with 2-3 shakes keeps me equally lean as eating 6-7 (500-600 kcals meals) every 2.5 hours. I tell people all the time that when they are trying to gain muscle, eating LESS often may be the ground breaker for them. Large meals promote the release of all sorts of anabolic agents... whether it be insulin alone... mixed with a positive notrogen balance.... I mean really.... that's what it's all about anyway....

3 big meals a day keeps me leaner than 5 smaller ones even if the macros and caloric totals are the same

Yeah, I'm off the whole eat every 3 hours dealio. I just eat when I'm hungry now (although I still count macros/kcal religiously and make sure it adds up properly at the end of the day).

When starting out I think the whole eat every 3 hours thing did help out though.
