Uh...you got a question?

Flavored oatmeal really isn't the best thing, but it tastes alright. Steel cut oats are probably the best thing, but I'm not on a strict diet.

Same here. I found a sugar free flavored version of instant for on the go stuff but usually just eat rolled oats and flavor with cinnamon.

next time just get the unflavored, the flavored ones have too much sugar.

for breakfast... it is great. People are too anal about thier diets. If it fits into your macros, you it for breakfast or after a sessions of intense work. Otherwise, i guess the traditional stuff is best for consistant use. Understanding how foods are used in your body is essential for making these decisions by yourself.

It would fit in pretty nicely as a post workout meal.

There's a lot of healthy choices for breakfast depending on your tastes, needs and time.

Their are some good reduced sugar versions out their and I also believe that Kashi makes some oatmeal that is actually very good and does not have to much sugar in it.

sugar can be your friend sometimes. It all depends on your goal, carb sensitivity, and timing. I know I have a giant bowl of honey nut cheerios in the morning. I would never eat that later in the day, but at breakfast... anything goes.

I go with the flavored stuff; I'm not a fan of oatmeal. I look at it as an alternative to taking meds for cholesterol.

If the taste of oatmeal is what bothers u....throw a scoop of chocolate protein (I use ON) in with some oatmeal and add a scoop of peanut butter. Use cold water to mix it and throw it in the fridge for a little bit. It tastes great

Def. agree w/ DJ. Unless you are on some crazy sugar restricting diet, than it won't be a big deal. I personally hate eating plain oatmeal myself, so I usually go with the flavored ones to make the meal a little less bland.

Yeahl, but your body has to really work to get those calories :P I usually end up losing weight from eating oatmeal all the time...I am not sure what I would lose if I ate steelcut, since they're harder to digest.
