I've been tempted to try it with blackberries. It works best with frozen blueberries. I either do that or put a *lot* of cinnamon in it. I've never understood the attraction of quick oats (except post w/o). 3 minutes in the microwave is about as quick as I can handle. LOL

I eat steel cut oats that way all the time. Got tired of cooking old fashioned oats at work. I don't think I've ever actually cooked steele cut oats. I have raw instant oats in my post w/o shake. As long as I drink it fast, they go down OK. lOL

Steel cut oats imo have a better mouth feel but they take much longer to cook.

But oats+syntrax nectar is a great combo.

I just buy plain ol' bulk oats from the store (usually the store brand of whatever store I'm in) and nuke a 1/2 cup of them in a cup of water. I add a spoonful of Splenda and some cinn, and it tastes just like the premade kind with all the sugar.

Oatmeal packets should primarily used for post-workout only.

Flavored oatmeal packs contain sugar. Generally post-workout a protein shake is consumed with dextrose or maltodextrin, so the oatmeal packs would substitute the dextrose or maltodextrin used in a protein shake.

old-fashioned rolled oats + splenda + cinnamon = sugar free flavored oatmeal.

there's also davinci syrups; i'm too cheap for them, but they have good feedback and are sugar free

Yup, very basic but it tastes a lot better than just plain.

I saw an add for flavored protein oatmeal. I think it was for Dymatize. But it is most likely way overpriced for what it is.
Generic brand oats + whey and maybe splenda is the way to go.

All of their products are great but damn pricey.

I usually have 1/2 cup quick oats + 1/4 cup of rolled oats and splenda. I love oats.
