Default The Fat Write-up

UNSATURATED FATS- "good fats"

Benefits-
-Monosaturates reduce LDL choesterol.
-Polyunsaturates supply essential fatty acids which are vital to the CNS. Also produce benficial prostoglandins that regulate blood pressure, maintain the immune system, and fight inflamation.
-Aid in muscle growth and joint health.

Drawbacks-
If intake of omega-6 and omega-3 fasts is not kept balanced their benefits may be diminished

Sources-
Monounsaturated-avocados, olives, and peanuts
Polyunsaturated- salmon, nuts, and sunflower seeds

-Use unsaturated fats as your primary source for dietary fat.

SATURATED FATS

Benefits-
-Improves satiety, mood, brain and nervous system function, maintains testosterone levels.

Drawbacks-
-Excessive intake can lead to elevated LDL levels

-Sources
-Animal foods, such as meat, poultry, and whole-milk dairy products

-Limit the best you can by chosing lower-fat foods.

Benefits-
-None

-You best bet is to avoid these fats entirely.

Fish- salmon, herring, mackerel, sardines, trout, albacore tuna

Meat/Poultry/Dairy- sirloin, top round, ground round, chicken breast, eggs

Good read IMO fat is very underated. Since upping my fat intake and lowering my protein my test levels have climbed back up for sure. Whole omega 3 eggs, almonds, almond butter , enova oil are staples for me
