Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | hey all, as some of you know, I'm heading out to chicago to teach golf for the summer. I am looking to recomp a bit at my weight. At work, it is tough for me to get in my whole food protein sources. The average meal for me is PB on wheat with a protein shake. My question has to do with the protein. Since I can totally hounded for busting out tuna or meat at work, I like to get my protein in liquid form. Last year I did whey with each meal (hoping the fats and fiber in the sanwhich would slow some of the aminos down in digestion), but this year I'm thinking about making my own protein blend. I was thinking about making it 50% whey, 25% egg, and 25% caseinates. Does anyone have any experience with making their own blends? Does that look like a solid profile? funny enough, I post this right after b-boy and Optimum reveal they are adding even more protein to their pro-complex.

Careful with the egg and caseinate %s. I don't recall off-hand what blend I'd made (and it was only a pound, since I was testing), but it was a salty, chalky mess. Definitely use a flavor that might complement a salty taste. | |
