Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 162 | First off, the BRAND and STYLE of cottage cheese makes ALL the difference in the world. To those who do not like cottage cheese, you might want to try a different brand I dislike store brand cottage cheese, it tastes like crap... however... Friendship brand 1% whipped style cottage cheese, or 4% california style are DELICIOUS ![]() What are your favorite brands and styles? Are there any you particularly dislike? Cottage cheese can be dressed so many ways Some people like to put a splash of milk and some whey powder but I think that tastes gross... personally I like to mix in a spoon full of either sugar free jam or walden farms' 0 cal fudge dip. Sometimes I like to top it off with some walnuts Otherwise I even like cottage cheese plain! How do you eat your cottage cheese?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | Splenda and cinnamon or just cinnamon when I need a treat-otherwise it's just plain ole cottage cheese. I basically drink it out of the 1cup measuring cup-no need to make extra dirty dishes! All the brands I eat are local, so doesn't matter much-I pretty much buy whatever's cheapest!

There is a big difference between what brand you get. I love Kroger cottage cheese, and I'd probably put the order this way of the brands I've tried: Kroger > Marsh > Meijer > Walmart Walmart brand is truly disgusting. :excorcist I always get the 1% fat of whatever brand. As far as eating it I don't mind eating it plain, really I like the taste of the better brands plain. Although a few times I've added banana or pineapple to it. ![]() | |

| Fast guy in training | Meijer's is the only place I can find cottage cheese with pineapple chunks already in it, but it's really runny, but I am lazy so it works for me ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | Always with 2 packets of splenda/ cup. I do about 1.5 cups of 4% milkfat right before bed. I'm a fan of the saturated fat... good old naturaly Test booster. Also, I find that 4% is like 50X better tasting than 2% or Fat Free. I need the extra kcals anyway. I love my cottage cheese. I tend to eat about 4 cups throughout the day. 1/2 cup in the middle of the night too with some whey mixed in. I've tried Casein supps... they are just SOOO damn expensive. The good old staple is mixing the cheese with some PB. Also very tasty, but I get all my efa's from fish oils, so I stick with the fat in the cheese itself. I hope there is only one of these threads. At BB.com, there were 6 every day. I expect not though. Don't Forget your Multi

| IMPC Contestant | Whenever I ate Cottage Cheese, I burned through the containers of it... My mom wasn't very happy. I ate 1 1/2 - 2 cups a night. Anyone else like that? Or do you buy big tubs? On a side note... whenever you guys go to the grocery store, what do you think the checkout lady thinks of you? I get funny looks heheh. Tons of jugs of water (my well is like broken), mountains of tuna, brown rice, and lbs upon lbs of chicken.

Lol... when I am at home (having to buy my CC at GIANT), I would go every night around 2am after seeing my girlfriend, and I'd see the same checkout lady all the time. She finally asked why I get a container of CC every night... I told her... and she mentioned hearing how good CC is for you... i agreed... Don't forget your multi

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I like Crystal (west coast brand) and Knudson - both fat free. The brands I have NOT liked are the soupier ones, like Lucerne and Sunnyside. Those two brands have ot be kept much colder to stay thick. I mix them with PB at night before bed. I also put CC on waffles. I toast some waffles, smear on some sugar-free jelly, and top it with CC. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Make your own protein ice cream, I do. Blend all ingredients in a blender: 2 scoops protein powder 1 cup fat free cottage cheese 2-3oz pasteurized egg whites (Keeps it from freezing solid) 3 tablespoons Splenda Then I put it in the Ice Cream maker until the machine labors and then into the freezer to finish freezing. If you don't have an ice cream maker, put a glass bowl in the freezer for an hour before. Then after blending the mix pour into the bowl, mix and place in the freezer. Every 15-20 minutes stir/fold the mix and put back in the freezer until you have the consistancy you want. It shouldn't freeze solid due to the pasteurized egg whites in it (which are perfectly safe to eat raw) This makes 1 pint of Ice Cream with: Calories-411 Protein-75g Fat-5g Carbs-17g Tastes good to me, like cheesecake ice cream, and you can make it any flavor you want by adding your favorite Davinci syrup to it while it's in the blender. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | Nice recipe Doc. Seriously... I havn't heard that one before. If you don't have an icecream maker.... Just throw the splenda, sugar free jello mix of desired flavor and 1 scoop of whey into 2 cups of cottage cheese. Then just put it in the freezer for a good time. Experiment on the time you leave it in the freezer. It varies on fat content of the CC and your particular freezer's temperature. I use 4% milkfat CC, and I do mine for about 1.25 hours. I DO have an ice cream maker... so i'll definately give this other recipe a try. Don't forget your multi
