For a diet to be healthy you should eliminate all foods with sugars and refined white flour in them. Brown rice and whole wheat pasta are usually substitued for white rice and regular pasta. Other good carb sources are beans, oatmeal, salad greens and fibrous veggies. Fats should come from lean meats, chicken, fish, nuts and extra virgin olive oil. The above meats are also good sources of protein. You can suppliment with whey powder for more protein. *

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | veggies arn't a source of anything except macronutrients. Get you carbs from starches and whole grains. Cutting bread out of your diet isn't a bad idea, it eliminates one questionable area. Potato and rice. Be careful. As a performance athlete, your ability may be restricted on a diet yielding less than 45 or 50% of ur kcals coming from carbs.
