this thread got me thinking....

Flooding the minds of beginners (not that the original poster is, but maybe some kids lurking) with all this information may be very overwhelming. The fact is, if you lift hard, rest well, and eat a surplus of kcals with at least your BW in grams of protein, YOU WILL GROW!

This is some advanced stuff, and should be labled so.

rockin. I thought the upped kcals were orinigally to blame, but it turns out the only other thing I changed was my PWO shake. Upping my kcals 1 or 2 hundred wouldn't effect my gains as much as it has.... def the PWO dextrose.

I eat bananas prior to a workout because they taste good, give some extra energy and they dont bloat my stomach as other foods would, they dont give me that "too full to workout" which destroys my workout or even makes me puke after leg workouts. so bananas are good
add them to your oats too. makes it taste good. makes chocolate whey taste great too if you put it in milk and in the blender.

I remember reading this thread a long time ago, but it makes a lot more sense now. This could use a bump for anyone who missed it! Great thread.

Default Part of carb cycling program

I have been trying a carb cycling program I found. After not having much fruit for quite a while and then getting to have a banana sliced over oatmeal I felt like I was eating candy. I have been off of ice cream and cookies so long the banana more than satisfied my sweet tooth.

I'll usually have a banana in my wake-up shake, or with my Breakfast oatmeal (to sweeten it up). Love em. PWO is 50g whey isolate (plain) and 100g Glycocarb (dextose/maltodextrin) then an hour later the PPWO Protein/Carb meal
