Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | I want to do a 6pm carb cut off since I am starting to cut. However, I usually train somewhere from 8pm-9pm. I have read about the importance of refilling glycogen stores after a workout, so is it not beneficial to have this 6pm carb cut off? If it can be done, how can I do this?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 156 | you can keep your pwo carbs to a minimum.... 10g of dextrose. That's how we do it on a CKD. It's just enough to help shuttle nutrience into your muscles, but not enough that it will be stored.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 114 | it's a tough situation. Skel's answer is prolly the best. Is there ANY way you can train earlier.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Thanks for the responses. I'll consider that, as it seems to be my only option at this moment. Any other ideas from anyone else? Quote:

I'll bank on thatI think lifting in the morning is better. I hate lifting in the evening, I have sooo much more strength if I lift early / before noon.

I guess everyone is different. When I am bulking, I go in the evening because I have WAY more energy and I have been eating all day. When I am cutting, I go before noon because it is easier for me to concentrate my carbs that way.... kinda similar to this thread i suppose.

| Pro Stature | I usually like to go 2 PM-4 PM. Morning I have no energy and at night, I get too lazy to go. I would do what Skelooth said about minimum or try to workout in the evenings or morning. |

Another way to go would be to have your pwo shake, then before bed have a meal consisting of protein/fats. Even some fiber added would be fine. When contest dieting for instance, I normally go the eggwhite omlette route with 1 whole egg and 5 eggwhites, omlette veggies, with a bit of salsa on top. Keeps the nighttime hungers down very nicely, while adding quality protein. | |
