Default Calorie dense foods

I'm on a pretty fixed/busy schedule right now and im looking to pack in around 3000-4000 calories a day with 5-6 meals.

So far for good calorie dense foods I have:

Oats
Peanut butter

hmm, that's about all I can think of. Any ideas?

meal 1 would be at home in the morning around 8am or so

meal 2 would be before I leave and would be a weight-gain shake (home made weight gainer that is) around 10 am

meal 3 would be at around 12:00 and is something I'd have to take in a lunch kit

meal 4 would be at home around 3 pm or so

meal 5 would be supper around 6

meal 6 8-9pm

Almonds are packed with calories. Something like 1/2 a cup are 340 Cals. I eat a ton of yogurt, bananas, apples all have some decent cals in them. Every morning part of my meal is toast/PButter that alone is like 450 cals. Pastas, I make them before I go to school the night before and zap em' in the microwave @ school, not sure where you are. At work, school etc. I was doing the ABCDE (still am, but a modified version) and I just ate everything in sight, its worked well for me most of the weight i've put on has been muscle.

As mentioned above, Pasta is a very calorie dense food. In terms of oats, if you have time in the morning, trying cooking up some Steel Cut Oats. These pack TWICE the punch of regualr rolled oats.

Pastas in my opinion are always the best bet. Also Chicken with rice if you have time to make it.

Another vote for pasta

Jumbo eggs

Any oils (olive, flax)

Nuts and nut butters (almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, etc.)

as far as fruits go, I'd say bananas :dbanana:

I'm having trouble finding steel cut oats. Would the all natural food stores have these? Tried three different Kroger's and no luck.

I picked up some rolled oats for a very cheap price (almost outdated). Better than nothing.

To be honest I think you need to do a better job at preparing. I know you have enough time to pack meals. i.e Sunday night make 10 burgers (90% lean), 10 chicken breasts, 8 cans of tuna fish, and put them in ziplock bags/containers.Add EVO to all these meals. Get the prepackaged lettuce. Wheat bread. etc. Goto Coscos or Sams club buy bulk. Also make some shakes 1cup oatmeal/2 scoops casienate (whey works too)/2 tspns olive oil shakes. This gives you another 1-2 meals or breakfast. Another example Make a 2lbs of penne (wheat?) pasta with 1/4 cup of olive oil, 10 basil leafs, and smoked salmon 800-1000 per serving. All done in adv. the night before.

If you dont care about how you put on the calories or saturated fat intake so go to McDonalds then - not recommended. I would go for the nutritional value as well as calorie density; avoid saturated fats, sugar and processed junk foods.

Calorie dense foods have already been mentioned but heres some more avacado's, PB, Ground beef, Olive oil (EVO) and nuts . Any oil really. Complex carbohydrates (starches) such as whole grains, pasta, cereals, beans, yams, potatoes and rice also have higher calorie densities than fibrous carbs.

Have you ever made your own weight gainer?

This is the easiest way add almonds, walnuts, enova oil to 3 of your meals to up cals. They are portbabel and easy to carry around.
Best of luck

Yes. A health food store should have steel cuts. The ones near me do....

Yes... not to mention semi-healthy fats.....

Saturated fat is the shiznit. I don't care what people say.... saturated fat gets ur body naturally anabolic like none other.... not to mention.... you can give your sexual partner rides like there is no tomarrow (and then again).

Just stay away from the transfats and
