Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 128 | Tuesdays and Thursdays I have weight training class at school, but I am unsure of an optimal approach on meals beforehand with my schedule, which is as follows: 9:30 AM: meal 1 (example - 2 eggs, 80g oats, 30g whey) 10 AM: catch the bus to school 11 AM - 12:15 PM: class 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM: break..... I need something here for pre-WO energy. I have just been using a piece of fruit, which is actually my #1 choice for 30 mins PreWO, but only if I had a solid meal MAX 2 hours prior to training, preferably 90 mins. 1:10 - whenever I want: weight training Then I'm done for the day, so post WO nutrition is not a problem, just drink a shake on the bus and eat when I get home. Any ideas on different ways I could approach this nutritionally? |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | well, i think you should eat a bigger breakfast... but i'm unsure of your goals currently. If you don't eat a bigger breakfast, then i'd add a meal during class time (something like oat/whey shake or PB sand with the PB mixed with 10g whey... something like that. Sipping on a malto drink or a couple bananas pre-training is always a good idea. Keep it simple. info i need: what are your total daily Kcals? (if ur even counting) what are your thoughs on sugar around your training? what can and can't you eat during class? what type of training?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 214 | dude things are completely insane but I'm having a blast...training hard, surfing, kayaking, partying with friends up in LA. Cali is a fun fun place, but the hours I'm working are pretty rough.

Dav, can't you just bring something to eat after your class? I'd eat a sandwich, some oats and whey, or even a protein bar.

Sugar around training - I like fruit pre-WO, not a fan of dex though. Today I tried eating a chicken sandwich and an apple at 12:30 (30-40mins preWO). I don't usually eat a sandwich that close to training, but it seemed to work OK... I think I can find a better approach though. I will try the PB sandwich in class idea, I'm actually not sure what the teacher's take on food in class is, so I'll have to find out on Thursday. type of training.... bodybuilding approach, 2-3 bodyparts per day, 9-12 sets per bodypart, reps anywhere from 6-20, usually 8-12, rest 2-3 mins between sets. Try to do mostly compound movements. Quote:
