Isn't chocolate a “junk food”?
Chocolate is the Number 1 craved food in the United States – have you ever wondered why? It's not the sugar and fat and corn syrup and artificial ingredients that have been added to chocolate in recent years (giving chocolate it's undeserved reputation as a junk food). The reason we crave chocolate is because of the naturally occurring compounds such biogenic amines (phenylethylamine and tyramine), polyphenols, theobromine, and other natural compounds that deliver the “feel good” nature of chocolate. Chocolate is most certainly NOT junk food – in fact, for centuries, chocolate was used as medicine by the Ancient people of Central and South America – the Inca, Mayan, and Aztec cultures referred to chocolate as the “Food of the Gods” and used it to boost mood, energy, stamina, and strength.

I hope MuscleTech doesnt read this, "Chocoakic"..
Pretty wierd how much stronger chocolate is!
I am definatly going to eat it when I bulk, now I need to find a lean source and how much 100 grams is, thought 50g should be more then enough.

I think Chocolate is actually really good, with the Chocomine stuff, now all the brain chemicals and its amazing anti-oxidant abilities.

In addition, Designer Supps is releasing an anti-oxidant formula that has 5,600 ORAC per serving, 30 servings for 20 bucks about, and contains more then enough anti-oxidants, so I think Chocolate is actually great! Not too good for post workout.

Does anyone know the ORAC units in ALA, Green Tea powder, and etc?
Who eats real food these days? :boink:

have you ever tasted unsweetened dark chocolate?? If not, I'll give you a hint to it's flavor: It's so putridley bitter I nibble on it as an appetite suppressant while cutting.

Hmm..I knew pure dark chocolate was a good antioxidant but I didn't know it was THAT good. Better hide this info from the ladies here.

ya, the dark chocolate that is high in anti-ox's should be very high in cocoa and doesnt taste nearly as good as the goodness that's sold in stores.

Nice avatar btw, Prod1gy

not too sure of the validity of this statement. I think a lot of poeple will use it as an excuse to eat a snickers everyday and think that they're eating healthy.
The really dark chocolate high in cocoa isnt all that tasty.

This one tastes pretty good actually... Lindt 70% cocoa.

They have ones at 85%, 99% cocoa too...

I think those would taste pretty bitter...probably good for baking tho.
