Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 299 | Hi Kevin welcome to IronMass! First off congrat's on the twin boys, pretty neat having twins that will be bud's for life. As far as getting fit again it's going to take two things, dedication and knowledge. The knowledge is endless here but the dedication you bring to it will determine your success. Cheers ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 128 | You'll find plenty of information here Welcome! You said you've trained before, what is your previous history? Knowing that will help us help you. If you're familiar with a lot of the major compound lifts, I suggest doing those. If you are capable (injury free enough) to do the big 3 lifts (squats, deadlifts, and bench press) then those will be wonderful for you. The more of your body is stimulated by a single lift, the more you will benefit from it. This will be much more effective than training the back of your shoulders one day, and then your biceps the next, and then the inside of your thigh the next day, etc. etc. And if you don't already know, what you eat has a huge role in how you look, so read up on nutrition. Using www.fitday.com is an easy, free way to track how many calories you are taking in each day. To lose weight, eat 500-1000 calories below the amount you eat that keeps your weight stable. Ah, I gotta run right now, but feel free to ask as many questions and we'll see that they get answered! |
