Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 200 | My feelings are hurt. My pec tear is more recent than EME and neither of you mentions me at all? Pete, when did you tear your pec? Has a doctor looked at it and given you a diagnosis? My pec tear and EME's pec tear were distinctly different. EME tore his connective tendon for the pectoralis major. I only tore some of the actual muscle away from the connective tendons. Both very serious, but also very different.

I was gonna mention you, before I saw this post.... Welcome Pete_M_'86, stick around you will gret some great info here. Getting your injuries properly diagnosed is one step, another is to learn how to prevent them from reoccuring. What were your warm up practices like? What caused the injuries? ie what exercise were you doing? I will guess flat bench press, cause it is resposible for more torn pecs, and torn rotator cuffs than any other exercise.. give us some more info, and we can help you

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | wow, thankyou all for replying to me, I went to the doctors and was surprised that he said there was nothing wrong with it, he sed i have tight tendons in that area, but i think he just wanted to get me out, ive looked at pictures off ppl who have the problem, the funny webbed look and gap, and i am 90 % sure its what ive done, plus when i tense it it doesnt seem to have any strength in it, there was a lot of pain when i did it in march 06, i always did a lot of pec wrk, and they are kinda outta proportion to the rest of my muscle groups, lol can you get over this problem without surgery if it is a tear or partial tear? please get back guys |

Not all tears require surgery.. I ruptured my bicep a while back ,a nd it took a long time to heal.. (6 months) but it healed without surgery, and I have no problems with it now.. If I was you I would go see a sports doctor.. they specialize in just these injuries, and will be much more helpful than a primary care doctor.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | hey bubba, erm, it was somthing that built up i think, with lack of sleep and overtraining, i did it on the pec deck i think to be honest... the pain and deadness in my arm was terrible, an i was so annoyed that i cudnt train... it was like a constant depressing cloud over me, i became very snappy with people and moody as u can imagine lol, erm, i think my warm ups shud have been much more carefully done, i'll probably have to carefully and slowly build the strength back up in my arm now |
