| Soldier In Progress | * In Bodybuilding in general, what body part is neglected or overlooked the most? Legs, I think most people find it too painful to work legs and don't do it. Argue with me all you want, the big guys squat till they puke. Every other gym-monkey won't bother working legs other than 1 or 2 sets of presses. Why? It hurts, it bloody hurts. It seperates men from the boys. * In YOUR OWN personal training, which body part are you overlooking or not training? Biceps. I don't like training biceps, for the fact it makes me look like the gym-monkey. I don't like it, plus I never feel soreness in my bi's. They're growing without DOMS, good but I hate it. * Which are the best exercises to help improve these body parts? Incline single arm static curls, with dumbells. These are killer. Usuaully high-rep it, 15-20RP.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | In Bodybuilding in general, what body part is neglected or overlooked the most? I would have to say Calves by far. Most people dont have good Calve genetics anyways. In YOUR OWN personal training, which body part are you overlooking or not training? Nah this doesnt to apply to me. I really like training everything. Which are the best exercises to help improve these body parts? Well for me standing calve raises. My calves grow best on low volume with heavy weight and high reps.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I note a lot of people who do not train back, mainly because they can't see it! They concentrate on chest, delts and biceps. Another group, often the above, do not train legs: they just wear long pants all the time. I agree that calves are often neglected, becuase many people believe that it is ALL genetics: that is just an excuse for poor training methods. The calf is a short muscle with great strength and fast twitch properties, so should be trained hard, heavy weights, through FULL RANGE and possibly with plyometric type exercises included. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | I think legs are probably the most under trained bodypart, like sholiz said it hurts ad people avoid it for that reason. I train everything, I'm blessed with good leg genes so I don't train them as much or need to. I probably shoud do them more, but I don't want them to overshadow my upper body. My arms are my problem area, I train them like mad and the bastards take their own sweet time growing!! GRRR! ROB

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 26 | I agree...legs are the most neglected. You always see these kids in there doing bench and db curls everyday. ![]() Personally, I wish I could do legs (injuries). I'm starting to get a little disproportionate compared to my upperbody. Oh well, hopefully soon I will be able to work them a bit. ![]() Squats for sure....ass to the ground, all the way! At least, that's how I liked to do them when I could. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | You guys have narrowed it down to the lower body, but within the lower body, I'd say Hams and Calves are trained the least. |

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | 1. Calves 2. hamstrings 3. Shoulders (not in bodybuilding general, but a lot of lifters don't train them like they should.)

| Nublarsaurusrex | In Bodybuilding in general, what body part is neglected or overlooked the most? Id have to agree with most of you, especially for the younger bbing crowd, that legs are greatly overlooked. In YOUR OWN personal training, which body part are you overlooking or not training? I definatly overlook abs and forarms.. usually ill get at them once a month or so. I also cant work legs becuase of injuries/surgerey, so i dont even get indirect ab work from squats/deads at the moment. Which are the best exercises to help improve these body parts? Squats and deads ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 197 | I would have to say that DLs and squats probably work your trunk muscles equally.

| Fast guy in training | imo i think that the most overlooked part is tibialis anterior, extensor digitorum longus and peroneus longus most overlooked for me is my arms, not that its by choice but i have this screw in my right elbow and if i try to go heavy on certain exercises i.e. just about any tri movement and rope curls, i have one hell of a shooting pain whic usually turns into a throbbing after a few minutes. so basicly there isnt much i can do to change it, im stuck with being able to do close grip bench, rev grip bench somewhat heavy and i found out i can go tri kickbacks without the pain ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | I'd go with hams and calves. Hams are tough for me. Put SLDLs on leg day, my quads are quivering like crazy after squats. Put it on back day, my grip is about ready to give out from deads.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | After reading through log after log .. I have noticed that alot of people seem to neglect training traps and forearms the most. Legs make the list as well, especially for newbies that only bench and do biceps curls every work out. As far as my training goes, I am not currently working my forearms like I was. :o |

| Soldier In Progress | PRovs, I'll disagree with you there. Training traps, I don't find it needed. Heavy deadlifts and other movements like that seem to hit them harder than when I was doing behind the back shrugs brutally heavy.

Calves, also forearms as well... they really are hard for me to improve so I've just not spent much effort on them. Which are the best exercises to help improve these body parts? standing calf raise |
